About me

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Professional Art Therapist, licensed in Kentucky. I have more than 12 years experience working with anxiety, depression, medical trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, as well as bereavement and grief. My style is humanistic with a client-centered approach supporting evidenced-based intervention. I believe in human beings, in their capacity to grow, change and endure. I believe in using the strengths of the individual as the basis of finding solutions to existing difficulties and paths forward. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but am able to supplement this with Expressive therapies which can provide a deeper personal meaning to the pursuit of wellness. I believe in the importance of establishing a safe place for the building of relationship and communication with unconditional acceptance of the individual, and of holding that safe space open for the expression and movement of the individual in therapy.

Jill listens. Has a great sense humour which also moves me. I look forward to our sessions. Always leave the session having learned something I can take with me in my daily life. I have made significant changes with Jill’s
Guidance.

Though I was not able to continue with Jill, I value the sessions we did have. Jill listened to me and promoted an awareness that prompted me to view things differently than I had been. She is very kind and compassionate and easy to talk with.
