Taeleab Johnson, LPC
About me
I'm a therapist with seven years of experience supporting individuals through life's most challenging moments. I work with clients across the lifespan, with particular expertise in helping young adults navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and the complexities of building self-esteem and resilience.
My approach is grounded in understanding the whole person—your identity, your values, and your unique journey. I specialize in supporting clients through life transitions, relationship concerns, communication struggles, and questions about purpose and belonging. I'm also experienced in working with issues around guilt, shame, forgiveness, abandonment, and sexuality, as well as the specific challenges women and caregivers face.
I create a warm, affirming space where you can explore self-love, process isolation or loneliness, and work through workplace or interpersonal difficulties at your own pace. My style is collaborative and person-centered, drawing on evidence-based practices to help you build insight and move toward meaningful change.
I'm honored to work with clients who seek a therapist who understands their lived experience and identity. Starting therapy takes courage, and I'm truly proud of you for taking this step.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Taeleab Johnson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I absolutely love her! As someone who works in the psych field myself, I was honestly hesitant about starting therapy, especially because I’ve had some not-so-great experiences with therapists in the past. But from the beginning, she has made me feel so comfortable and safe being completely honest and vulnerable.
Talking to her feels like talking to a friend, but a friend who is also going to hold me accountable, challenge me when I need it, and truly wants to see me grow and prosper. I don’t feel judged or uncomfortable opening up to her, and that means a lot to me.
She has completely changed the way I feel about therapy, and I’m so grateful that I found her. She is compassionate, supportive, genuine, experienced, and amazing at what she does.
