About Me

Hi! My name is Tanya Younce and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio and Texas with over 20 years' experience working with men and women who are struggling with major life transitions, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. As humans, I believe we are designed to evolve, grow, and adapt to whatever Life hands us. But for many of us, this can feel like a long, painful and even lonely process. So, what makes me a successful therapist is that I focus on building a warm and trusting relationship with my clients first -- helping them feel heard and connected, rather than alone and misunderstood. After that, I help them explore their current coping habits (thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors) to determine which ones are still helpful, which are making things worse, and which ones might need adjusting in one way or another. Tanya has been very helpful. She listens to me and helps me figure out how to handle hard situations. I’m glad I have her to talk to when I need someone. She always responds in a timely and respectful manner.

My counselor is great! Even though I didn’t fully get to meet her or know her in person, she makes it easy and comforting to allow myself to explain and listen to my concerns and ideas. It’s good to have someone be by your side and help with guidance.
