Tara Hale, BACP
About me
Hello, and thank you for viewing my profile.
My name is Tara and I am a qualified integrative counsellor in the UK with 8 years professional work experience.
I work with clients on various issues ranging from stress, trauma, shame, guilt, rejection, abandonment, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, becoming a parent, grief, loss, addiction, self-worth, self esteem, boundaries, compassion fatigue, and being a carer.
I also have a strong interest in the mind-body connection.
Stress alone from various root causes and sources can impact the body as well as the mind, and sometimes this can show up as aches and pains, troubled sleeping and effect our behaviour towards others. This can then seem like a never ending cycle which causes more stress.
During sessions I aim to provide a safe and confidential space, where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted.
We all experience life in different ways, have different perspectives, and different needs, therefore I work with clients using various therapeutic modalities (i.e. humanistic, transpersonal/spiritual, person centred, psychodynamic, creative, and others), in order to work with you in the best way possible.
I offer long and short term counselling, short being of 4, 6, 8, or 12 sessions.
Sessions start at 9am with limited last sessions at 7 or 8pm.
We can talk about this prior to your sessions starting. At times we can review how therapy is progressing for you and see if any adjustments are needed. If further sessions are needed then this is available too.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and bound by their code of ethics, which means I will work within my professional competency.
I look forward to working with you and be part of your therapeutic journey!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Tara Hale. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have no words to describe my gratitude towards Tara. I have had various experinces with therapists before but I have never met anyone like her. She is pure gold dust, she listenes, she always understands and in a non-robotic manner (like many others asking questions like "and how is that making you feel") she tailors the therapy and helps you navigate your emotions in paths that you might have not thought of before through non-traditional ways (asking how that makes you feel, i can do that by myself). With Tara, I really believe I have a safe space to talk about anything I feel, think and fear. I feel like my money very well invested. She creates a feeling in me of motivation to push for a better my mental health. I do not know how to explain the way she has of building a bond with you professionally, but also establish an atmosphere where it feels like you are talking to a best friend that only wants to se you heal and become a better person. I can never wait to see her next!!!! She deeply cares, for your wellbeing, sending you information and exercises to help you to do during, after, and before session. She is super kind, funny and just simply AMAZING!!!! I AM SOO HAPPY WITH HER!!!!

Tara is so lovely and warm and non judgemental, she’s an excellent listener and has introduced me to so many new techniques on how to connect with my body. Would definitely recommend Tara to anyone, I was so nervous picking someone as I didn’t know what I was doing but I’m very glad I chose Tara.

Tara is a thoughtful and supportive therapist who creates a safe space for open and honest conversations. She listens with empathy and provides valuable insights, making it easy to talk things through with someone external to your life. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a compassionate and understanding therapist.
