About me

I’m a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with 16 years of experience in the mental health field and 10 years providing professional counseling. My background includes outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, residential treatment, group work, and nonprofit leadership. I have extensive experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and crisis intervention. I approach therapy in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive way, respecting the identities, backgrounds, values, and lived experiences you bring with you.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety or depression, feeling overwhelmed by stress, navigating a difficult relationship, coping with trauma, experiencing problems with anger or substance use, or adjusting to a major change in your life. Sometimes there isn't one specific problem—you may simply feel stuck, disconnected, burned out, or realize that the ways you've been coping aren't working as well as they used to. Therapy gives us a place to slow things down, understand what's happening, and figure out what you want to do differently.

My style as a therapist is supportive, open, practical, and collaborative. I believe understanding why you think, feel, or respond a certain way is important—but insight is often only part of the work. Together, we'll also focus on what you can do with that understanding. This may include learning to manage difficult emotions, changing patterns that keep repeating, improving communication and relationships, setting boundaries, challenging unhelpful thoughts, building confidence, tolerating uncertainty, or developing healthier ways of coping with stress.

I also incorporate mindfulness into my work. Mindfulness isn't about getting rid of thoughts or emotions; it's about learning how to notice what's happening without automatically reacting to it. Developing that awareness can give you more freedom to choose how you want to respond rather than feeling controlled by your emotions, thoughts, or old patterns.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you what decisions to make or what your life should look like. I'm here to listen, ask questions, offer another perspective, teach practical skills, challenge you when it may be helpful, and support you in working toward the goals that matter to you.

Therapy can be incredibly rewarding, and meaningful change isn't always comfortable. It can involve looking honestly at patterns, sitting with difficult emotions, practicing new skills, and trying different ways of responding to familiar situations. We'll work at a pace that allows us to understand where you've been while continuing to move toward where you want to go.

I been working with Tiffany for a few months now. It first started with relationship and anger management and addiction. Now she is helping me cope with another issue that we didn’t even start with. She is an active listener and doesn’t judge. She helps you see things in a different light. Would recommend to anyone that thinks logically and rationally.
