My name is Valerie Glass. I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings for nearly 20 years. I currently hold a doctorate in marriage and family therapy and also work teaching students who are studying to become therapists. I have extensive experience working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, and family issues. In addition, I specialize in LGBTQ clients and women's issues.
Clients come to therapy for many different reasons. Some clients need a space to process life changes and challenges. Other clients seek direction and accountability. I meet clients where they are and provide a non-judgmental and collaborative space. I think of therapy as a journey to healing and becoming better - whatever that means to the individual. My role is to really understand where clients are coming from and to support their desired direction.
I am quite humbled by my role as a therapist and the vulnerabilities I see and experience as part of this role. I project an open and honest atmosphere and respect the challenges brought to the space.

Dr. Glass has been helping me navigate through a very difficult time with parenting my adult child. She is a great listener and always gives me a good perspective on the situation. Dr. Glass is very complimentary of my decisions as well.
Dr Glass has supported me through an incredibly challenging year. She is supportive, kind, intelligent and warm-hearted. I truly feel like she is always there for me - even though we’ve never met face to face. I’m so appreciative to have her on my team.
Dr. Glass helped me more than I can even describe. When we first started our sessions I was in a very difficult place in my life. She allowed me to talk through all of my issues and gave me non-judgmental and constructive feedback that allowed me to have a more positive and motivated outlook on my situations. While my "crisis" may be over our sessions are a wonderful outlet for the more routine situations and continues to give me a safe place to vent my concerns/frustrations. Thank you!
Dr. Glass is a wonderful listener. She provides great insight and helpful tips. I really appreciate her follow up. She is very timely! I would recommend Dr. Glass for anyone, looking to better themselves!
Valerie has been a great therapist so far. She asks good questions, provides some really helpful ideas for how to address particular issues, and she seems to really enjoy our conversations. She checks in if she hasn’t heard from me and always makes me feel supported!
Dr. Glass so far has been extremely responsive and helpful! Even though I was a little skeptical at first with the concept, I am loving BetterHelp and working with Dr. Glass. It is counseling on my time that works with my schedule.
Dr. Glass responds in a timely manner and is very considerate, caring and compassionate. She pays attention to detail, she read's "between the lines" and understands what I'm "not" saying. I would highly recommend Dr. Glass to anyone going thru a hard time or just needing someone to talk to.
Valerie is amazing! I feel like she really cares about what I care about and is invested in me. She has a phenomenal memory and asks helpful questions. She's great at both being supportive and challenging me when I need a bit of a push. I give her the highest praise possible!
