Meaning-Centered Therapy and Existential Analysis is a form of counseling for those who are searching for a sense of meaning in their lives. Today, more and more people come into therapy expressing feelings of emptiness and wondering does life have any meaning? What really makes life worth living? Is it all just meaningless suffering?
Most people who come for counseling are not “emotionally disturbed,” instead people come into therapy for help in finding themselves and to become capable of everything they are capable of becoming. At the core, the aim is at helping people create and discover meaning in their lives, a journey of self-discovery, and to discover that even unbearable suffering can be made bearable if it is meaningful.
