Yasaman Ansari Tari, BACP
About me
You might feel caught between the life you’re living now and the life that would actually reflect who you are. That gap can be confusing and frustrating, especially when the same things keep happening no matter how hard you try to change them.
I’m a psychodynamic therapist with eight years of clinical experience, and I help people understand and shift the patterns shaped by earlier experiences that still influence their self-worth, relationships, and sense of direction today.
So much of what feels stuck in adulthood, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-worth, or recurring conflict in relationships, often has roots in earlier experiences and the ways you once learned to cope and feel safe. Over time those ways of coping can quietly become an “old story” about who you are, what you deserve, and what’s possible for you.
Together we make sense of how these patterns formed and gently loosen their hold, so they no longer shape your life from the background. The way I work is warm, curious, and without judgment. You don’t need to arrive with the right words or have anything figured out first. That’s what the space is for.
Some of the people I work with are also navigating questions around identity, culture, or faith, especially when they feel caught between different expectations, or different versions of themselves.
If you’re feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can be a place to understand them and begin to change them. I’d be glad to work alongside you.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying working with Yasmin. She’s not only a great listener, but I also really get a sense of direction and development from our sessions. She goes deep but also focuses on practicality. Highly recommended!
