I know that living with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and other challenging experiences can make a person feel disconnected and alone. My focus is to provide my clients with a safe and healing therapeutic relationship where they can develop a deeper understanding of their troubles and feel empowered, with my guidance, to make lasting positive changes to their lives. My theoretical orientation is a mix of Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness-Based, Person-Centered and Psychodynamic practices.
My experience in the mental health field includes work in a center for victims of violence, providing individual and group therapy at an inpatient/ outpatient psychiatric facility, and at a private practice providing therapy to adults, adolescents, couples and families.
I received a BA in Psychology and a MA in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY College of Staten Island. The program included concentrations in areas of grief and loss, addictions and career counseling. I have had additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

She is the absolute best!!!
Yasmin is an extremely attentive counselor who responds in such a timely manner. We work hard on the small things that build to bigger pieces of a better life and, though this is my first experience with a counselor, I know that it's worth it.
Yasmin is smart, focused, extremely helpful and compassionate. I am so very grateful that I have her weekly to talk about my current situations and apply her practical wisdom and guidance every week! I highly recommend Yasmine!
Great person. Really helpful and I love it.
Yasmin has been very understanding, accomodating, and helpful. We have worked out lots of things I had kept buried and it has absolutely and permanently changed my life for the better. Thank you Yasmin! I look forward to continuing to grow.
Yasmin is able to tune into my concerns with uncanny focus. She grasps complex issues and offers support and insight. Her perspective and concern have been very reassuring and already helped me deal with complex family matters.
Yasmin has been very helpful as I deal with a recent situation. She replies quickly and with clear advise. She has really helped me to better understand what I am going through.
Yasmin is great! She takes the time and effort to come up with different approaches to solve an issue, always making me feel more empowered and confident in myself. I'm finally starting to feel like I'm gaining control over my life, at my own pace, without being overwhelmed. She teaches me how to be realistic about my goals, not to overwhelm myself, yet not limit my imagination over what I could possibly achieve. Yasmin has given me more peace of mind and clarity to deal with depression, anxiety and low confidence.
The therapy is helping me cope & make progress. She is also helpful with feedback/correspondence between sessions. That helps either cover ground or deal with things that come up. Overall a helpful experience so far working with her.
Being able to chat with an expert daily is like a breath of fresh air.
Yasmin is a great and attentive counselor. She has helped me in consistently, checks up on me, and gives me a nice way to manage and organize my life and thoughts. For things that are urgent, she has also generously given me her time. I would highly recommend speaking to her.
I like Yasmin. She's like an insightful friend who is always there, when you need her and even when you don't. The best counseling experience I've had in any capacity, hands down.
She's great, kind, considerate and helpful! Going very well so far. She always answers back in a couple hours or the next day, wonderful!
I'm working with Yasmin since few months now and I find her a perfect couseler with a great attitude! I love to work with her. Always attentive to the needs of the moment.
I would like to thank BetterHelp for this on line service.
Yasmin is very insightful, attentive, and responsive!! I would highly recommend her!
Yasmin has been amazing in that she is able to really listen to what I am saying and find methods that I am comfortable with to address my issues. I have tried different psychologists, psychiatrists, and cognitive therapists and no one has truly heard what I had to say until I started working with her. I am very grateful for these sessions because in just a month I have been able to make many positive changes in my life.
You are really great. I appreciate being able to write down my feelings and receive insight from you.
I've been working with Yasmin for a couple weeks now and she's great! All of her feedback has been extremely helpful so far. I feel heard and she always responds in timely manner. I definitely recommend her.
Yasmin has really helped me. In a short time I feel improvement in myself in openly being able to express myself without fear or judgement, but also learning some techniques that I find valuable to gain better strength within myself. I look forward to becoming a stronger person and Yasmin is opening my eyes in leading me in that direction and making me feel that it is possible.
Yasmin has been VERY good and timely with her responses. She has been very clear and helpful in letting know what to expect and her true concern is in working at MY pace and with what makes ME comfortable. Highly recommended.
Yasmin Botte has been extremely understanding and patient, and she has been able to lay out plans and strategies for me to work out my anxiety and get to a path for a new way of thinking that will help me with my low self esteem and insecurities. She has never made me feel unheard or insulted. She provides a very safe atmosphere where I feel like I'm getting actual help, and that I will get better. I'd recommend anyone who has low self esteem, insecurities, or anxiety issues to talk with Yasmin. It's only been a few weeks, but I now feel confident I'm going to see a day where my anxieties don't control me.
