About me

Born and raised in former Soviet Union, Ukraine, I immigrated to the United States right after my graduation from a music college. Music and psychology were always my passion! After settling in New York, I got my BA at Mercy College and Master’s degree at Hunter College. I was licensed as a Clinical Social Worker after several years of working in a mental health field.
I’ve experienced challenges in my life as an immigrant, female, mother, business woman, etc. ... and I enjoy working with my patients, who have challenges of their own.

Yelena Shik, is a wonderful therapist who responds to every one of my journal entry’s almost immediately after I write it. Her thoughtful question at the end really make me think deeper and write more about me and how I feel. I feel better and I find that it truly is helpful.
I love that we can write in my journals and send it once a week or everyday of the week and not have to wait. It just flows from one journal writing to the next.

And I do not forget because I can go back to the beginning and see the progress. And it has only been a few weeks. I am so excited that I found this app and that Yelena is helping me find what I am searching for in myself.
