I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina with 6 years of experience in counseling adolescents and adults. I have worked with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, coping with stress, spirituality, disordered eating, assertiveness, parenting difficulties, codependency, abusive relationships, family of origin issues, LGBT-related issues, and ADHD. I have also worked with people who have experienced psychological abuse, and issues related to being a highly sensitive person and being neurodiverse.
My communication style is gentle, encouraging, and nonjudgmental. I believe in each person’s right to decide what feels right for them, as well as each person’s responsibility to craft durable solutions for a life they can feel safe in and proud of. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, trauma-focused, somatic, relational, and solution-focused methods. I also draw from narrative therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I will tailor our work together to honor your unique ways of processing information while building new skills that lead to a more fulfilling, meaningful, and equanimous life experience.
It takes courage to reach out for support, to open to new perspectives, to challenge old beliefs, and to install the practices required for an upgraded life. If you are eager, inspired, and ready to take those steps, I am here to support you on that journey.
I look forward to meeting you right where you are, and walking with you toward a more enjoyable manifestation.

Yelitza has been such a wonderful blessing. I found her when I was at an extreme low point in my life and needing a way out because there were people depending on me. She is a wonderful listener and always has great ways of helping me refrained my thoughts.
I was able to bring up topics that in the past, I've been mocked about and hidden very deeply. She gave me the confidence to discuss this in our second meeting, and was supportive, non-judgmental, and able to provide insight into things I hadn't even considered.
