Whether you were present for the tragic events at the Astroworld music festival or have experienced other forms of trauma, therapy may be an effective way to process and move past difficult experiences. Online therapy is often more affordable than traditional in-person therapy, as it typically allows you to connect with a therapist from anywhere you have a stable internet connection at a time that fits your schedule.

According to a 2019 study, remote therapy can be as effective as in-office therapy for a variety of mental health concerns, including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

With BetterHelp, you can be matched with an online therapist with experience helping people process traumatic events. You can connect with your therapist through audio or video chat via phone, tablet, or computer, as long as sound and chat are enabled. Also, you can contact your therapist with any questions in between sessions via in-app messaging, and they’ll get back to you as soon as they can.
