About Me

My first priority is to build a safe, respectful, and supportive working relationship with my clients as we work towards reaching their goals. I achieve this by meeting the client where they are currently at and utilizing evidenced based therapeutic methods enhance the client's healing journey. My favorite aspect of counseling is witnessing growth, healing and positive change in client's lives. I have worked as a Therapist in an outpatient setting since 2013, and prior to that I provided counseling in schools. I have experience in working and living in Urban as well as Rural environments and understand the large impact our community has on our mental health. I have an Associates in Fine Arts, Bachelors and Master's in Social Work and anticipate completing my Master's in Health Administration in August of 2021. I enjoy art, traveling, photography and spending time with my energetic dogs. My personality is very accepting, supportive, kind and respectful to all. I look forward to building a working relationship with you!

Amanda is easy to talk to and she has really helped me. I like that she asks questions that uncover issues I hadn’t thought of and how to deal with them in the moment. I highly recommend her as a therapist.

Amanda has been an incredibly kind and insightful counselor! I have ADHD. It's not what I'm here for, and it can get in the way of my ability to tell a straight-line story, but she hears, listens, and really seems to understand what I'm saying. She provides insightful ideas that I can think about during the week and have really shifted my perspective in a positive way. She sends helpful and relevant worksheets for me to work on during the week, which provide truly great platforms for growth and healing.
