Welcome, and thank you for taking the time in learning more about me! My name is Amanda and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in the State of Ohio. I graduated from Walsh University with a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Development with a Mental Health Specialty. I have 15 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings such as outpatient, crisis intervention, school, and currently private practice. I have experience working with a broad range of clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, family issues, divorce, blended family issues, trauma, grief, self-esteem, parenting issues, and behavioral issues.
I primarily use evidence based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and problem-solving therapy. I believe therapy takes time and consistency. It is my role to help you navigate through your issues, and to help you develop the appropriate tools to manage/cope with these specific issues. Together we can work on establishing your goals. There may be times where I will assign therapeutic homework assignments to encourage work outside of our sessions. Mandy is an expert at what she does, and she takes the time to listen carefully to her clients, and respond appropriately. She also reviews every assignment that she gives clients, and makes careful notes to discuss in session, which is so reassuring and helpful! I love working with her, and would recommend her services to anyone in need.

Amanda is great! She actively listens, gets clarification instead of assuming things, and breaks down a lot of ‘psych terms’ when needed. She knows her stuff but is kind and patient about it.
