About Me

I am a licensed clinical social work who has worked in many different settings, including residential, in-home, a school setting, and, most recently, private practice. I became familiar with virtual counseling due to covid and recognized the many benefits of using technology to provide quality care. Reaching out for support can uncomfortable, but I am here to provide respectful and unbiased support with compassion as you navigate life's challenges. We will work together to identify your hangups and goals and I will provide perspective and practical skills to help you overcome those challenges and to make the best of your circumstance. I use evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, to help my clients begin to make progress promptly and effectively work toward their goals. I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Much of my experience has been working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, major life change, and the aftermath of traumatic events.

For many years those closest to me would ask me to go to counseling. Even ignored my best friend who is a psychologist. However a recent event made me realize I needed to do something. Working with Amanda was a smooth transition into getting help with how my mind is working. She makes me regret not getting help from someone like her years ago.
