About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan. I graduated from Wayne State University with my master’s in social work in 2014. Most of my experience is working with severe mental illness in a community-based setting. I started as a case manager in 2014 and then transitioned into a community-based therapy position in May 2019. Currently I work in an Outpatient Clinic during the daytime doing individual therapy. My passion is helping others figure out how to live their best lives. I am here to help you figure out and process issues you may be having and assisting you finding solutions that work. My style includes using Solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, empowerment, cognitive behavioral theory, and active listening. I have focused on helping individuals with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, anger management, and relationship concerns.

It takes strength and courage to seek assistance from others. I am here to help you on your journey and hope we can build a strong working relationship. Congratulation’s, on taking the first step forward towards obtaining your hopes and dreams!

I look forward to working with you!

Most of my availability will be in the evening hours 6/7 pm to 9/10 pm depending on things going on in my own life. Weekend availability can be discussed if needed; sometime I do have Sunday night hours open.

Amanda has been helping me work through and process my divorce. I usually can't find a therapist that I like, but I think she was a great match for me. She validates a lot of my emotions and gives me tools to help me navigate. She can be funny too which is always a plus in my book.

Each time I spoke with Amanda, I would always feel listened to and calmed down when talking to her about my issues; the thing I really enjoyed was having her and I come up with realistic solutions to problems I was facing that worked so well with how I thought. She reminded me never to forget my core values and to be true to myself when faced with a dilemma. I can honestly say that I worry a lot less when reminding myself of what Amanda has shown me and for that I am truly grateful. Go Amanda!
