About Me

I am a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors, and Professional Member of the American Counseling Association. In my education, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University with a minor in Fine Arts, and attended Miami's Barry University where I obtained a dual Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field in various settings including managed care with insurance companies, over 5 years working with non profit agencies providing direct crisis counseling for youths and their families, and supervisory level positions to other mental health professionals. Currently I own and operate Cloverleaf Counseling, a private practice. I am also a parent, animal lover, and active community member.
My primary specialties include working with adult and teenage individuals, couples and family counseling, maternal and postpartum support, and parenting styles. I have experience treating clients across a range of diagnoses and functionality especially adjustment disorders, anxiety and depression, addictions and substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harm, and relationship issues.
The goals of my practice are to bring a sense of overall self empowerment, and provide a space of empathy and understanding to support change and healing. Cloverleaf Counseling utilizes Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing approaches. I also incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and provide Trauma-Informed care. Additionally my style focuses on respecting you as the expert of your own life, with the idea that nobody knows you better than you.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Angela creates a welcoming environment and shows me unconditional positive regard in our sessions. She is great at offering insight and giving me space to process. She asks thoughtful questions that slow me down and help me reflect more on how I view myself and the world. I can laugh easily with her and genuinely enjoy when we connect. I’ve had many therapists in my time on this earth and Angela is one of the good ones, for sure. I’m grateful she’s here.

My councilor has been outstanding for me. I have hoped and prayed to meet someone like her and I'm so thankful I have.

It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to work with Angela. Angela is warm, caring and creates an atmosphere where you feel respected, valued and listened to. Prior to going into therapy, I was very skeptical of counseling- however, Angela completely changed my perspective and made it very easy for someone who was new to therapy. She makes therapy highly accessible and is very communicative. She listens with intention - taking time to understand where I come from while providing thoughtful insight. Angela has helped me learn a lot about myself and I have made positive changes to my life as a result of our sessions. I am so grateful to have been paired with her!

I am very grateful to have been matched with Angela! She is thoughtful, wise, considerate, supportive and provides a safe, non-judgemental space to help work through my issues. Her good nature and sense of humor brings levity to our sessions. She gives me relevant homework & things to consider to keep growth & momentum going in between sessions. Thank you, Angela!

Angela is authentic, intuitive and able to meet me where I’m at and help me work through or process whatever is up. I highly recommend her.

I've only had a few sessions but I do like Angela. She makes it easy for someone who is new to therapy.

Angela is excellent at maintaining the difficult line between the important forces in therapy: Exploration, empathy, education, and offering her perspective without straying into advice. It is an admirable execution of a tough balancing act. She comes across as confident in her clinical stance, as well as modeling equanimity and dialectical thinking.

Angela does a really good job of putting things back into perspective and creating a calm environment. I’ve only been messaging her for a short time but I’d recommend her.

Angela is kind, warm and open-minded. I feel safe talking to her and letting her know how I feel. I can let my guard down and not feel "judged". Angela always has simple ideas and strategies for helping me work through my current, often difficult, circumstances. Her tips are doable and have made me feel and think so much clearer. I can definitely say my quality of life has improved. Thank you, Angela!

She's been great, makes me feel heard, constantly promoting a positive and productive outlook even when I'm prone to reject it. She's helped me put a lot of emotional and mental issues into context.

Angela is a bright and thorough therapist. She has in a short time created a working relationship built on trust. I rarely feel therapists provide a real world approach to addressing issues, providing guidelines, and putting me into the position that I feel I can see things with more clarity.
