About Me

I am a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors, and Professional Member of the American Counseling Association. In my education, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University with a minor in Fine Arts, and attended Miami's Barry University where I obtained a dual Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field in various settings including managed care with insurance companies, over 5 years working with non profit agencies providing direct crisis counseling for youths and their families, and supervisory level positions to other mental health professionals. Currently I own and operate Cloverleaf Counseling, a private practice. I am also a parent, animal lover, and active community member.
My primary specialties include working with adult and teenage individuals, couples and family counseling, maternal and postpartum support, and parenting styles. I have experience treating clients across a range of diagnoses and functionality especially adjustment disorders, anxiety and depression, addictions and substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harm, and relationship issues.
The goals of my practice are to bring a sense of overall self empowerment, and provide a space of empathy and understanding to support change and healing. Cloverleaf Counseling utilizes Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing approaches. I also incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and provide Trauma-Informed care. Additionally my style focuses on respecting you as the expert of your own life, with the idea that nobody knows you better than you.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Angela is kind, warm and open-minded. I feel safe talking to her and letting her know how I feel. I can let my guard down and not feel "judged". Angela always has simple ideas and strategies for helping me work through my current, often difficult, circumstances. Her tips are doable and have made me feel and think so much clearer. I can definitely say my quality of life has improved. Thank you, Angela!

She's been great, makes me feel heard, constantly promoting a positive and productive outlook even when I'm prone to reject it. She's helped me put a lot of emotional and mental issues into context.

Angela is a bright and thorough therapist. She has in a short time created a working relationship built on trust. I rarely feel therapists provide a real world approach to addressing issues, providing guidelines, and putting me into the position that I feel I can see things with more clarity.
