If you find it challenging or even difficult to navigate through life’s experiences, come talk to me. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your challenges and build meaningful connections.
I have been practicing in the helping profession for 20 years and have Master’s Degrees in General Psychology and Counseling Psychology. I hold licensures as a Professional Counselor and a Specialist in School Psychology in the state of Texas and have worked with individuals transitioning through all walks of life. My experiences have given me a unique perspective on how to help others. I have worked with people with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, and psychosis as well as family and relational conflicts.
Some of the therapeutic models I use are:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Client-Centered Therapy
• Anger Management
• Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy
• Narrative Therapy
• Solution Focused
I believe that different issues require different treatments. As you are unique, therapeutic methods are tailored to treat the issue as well as work with you.
I am an open person and believe that everyone has the ability to change if he or she desires. I also believe that if you were able to change things on your own, it would have happened by now; so seeking help does not make you weak, it speaks to the bravery within.
While working with people of all ages, one thing that has guided my approach to helping is authenticity. When you decide to be true to yourself, you will have the ability to be true with others. That goes for me, too. I will be authentic with you. There is no judgment and therapy is a safe place. I view a key component in the therapeutic alliance as trust. I speak to myself, encourage myself, tell myself to change my thoughts when they are not appropriate. I live what I teach.
Everyone is Unique. People come in with some of the same concerns, but we handle them differently. Nothing is textbook!
My spiritual beliefs, family, and friendships play large roles in my life. Therefore, I understand the human aspects of life. Although it may sound like a cliché, I did not choose my field. It chose me! I entered college to become a pediatrician, but that is not what life had for me. Often, people would come to me for help and I believe that is the gift I have been given. I love to help others and if I am not the one to provide the service, my goal is to find someone who can.
The thing I love most about helping others is the opportunity to offer someone a different path. I look forward to extending that offer to you!

Haven’t been in counseling that long but it’s already been extremely helpful. She listens, a lot, and acts as a guide rather than a answer. She asks hard hitting questions, and tries to help make sense of that very confusing inner voice, but always allows me to draw my own conclusions. I think that aspect allows me to grow and learn in the most organic way. Thank you for all you do Angela Holiday!
She has been very objective and supportive and look forward to working with her to achieve my therapy goals.
