I am a professional therapist licensed in Wisconsin with 9 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues , adjustment issues, ADHD, LGBTQ issues, as well as couples work. I work with many individuals who have experienced physical, emotional and mental abuse, and am trauma-focused.
My therapy style is focused on meeting my client in the present. I believe when we are going through an experience the same as someone else, it is completely different and each client needs an individualized approach. My therapeutic style combines psycho-education, trauma- focused, person centered with cognitive and mindfulness approaches.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ashley Charney. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Ashley is exactly what I need in a therapist. She listens, calls me out on my BS, and finds way to challenge me to grow. Talking to her is easy and I never feel judged.
