About Me

Hello! My name is Azmeh and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have a Masters of Education in counseling and have specialized in working with youth and their families over the past 6 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, parenting issues, social behaviors, and crisis counseling. A lot of my counseling work has been with families who have fostered children and with individuals who have significant history of trauma.

I am experienced in many counseling techniques and use a combination to support my clients. I have done numerous courses post graduation to increase my knowledge and skills in various counseling techniques and topics most relevant to my client’s needs. I'm client-centered, in that I believe that my clients are the experts on themselves and so I will encourage them to set the pace of sessions, determine their goals, and amend things as needed. In our first few sessions we will establish a trusting, ethical, therapeutic relationship by form of congruence, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. My counseling style and approach really depends on the client and what best fits the situation.

I provide a relaxed atmosphere, safe space, and a non judgmental approach. Utilizing evidence-based practices, I strive to support, encourage, educate, and empower my clients. Together we'll work side by side to help strengthen awareness, communication, increase personal growth and healing within yourself and your relationships. We will also identify strengths, patterns, coping skills, and increase confidence. I hope to help support and empower you on your journey towards your goals. Whether you are seeking change for a healthier happier life, or just need a non judgmental ear to listen, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you! Thanks again for reading, and be well!

I am so thankful for Azmeh, she helped me through one of the roughest patches of life I’ve gone through. She was always ready to listen intently and help get to the roots of some issues. I genuinely feel so much better and relieved now!

Very great therapist who listens and is respectful of my needs. Azmeh is extremely patient and brings a lot to each conversation. She urges self reflection but remains compassionate.

Azmeh is very intuitive and astute. Even when my emotions come tumbling out in a mess, she’s able to see right through to the core of things. She very quickly understood that it was most important to me to feel understood, and she has actively made an effort to understand me and to help me rebuild positivity in my life.

I haven’t had much time with Azmeh so far but even in this short time, I’ve felt super comfortable talking to her. She can be empathetic, encouraging and still remain professional which is everything I was hoping for!! Looking forward to continuing with her as my counsellor.

She has been extremely respectful and understanding with issues you might be going through. She does not judge or push too hard. With kind eyes and a bright smile, Azmeh listens to you and allows you to make thought-processes and self-discovery at your pace. She's kinda like an amazing friend.
