Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (0137511) in the State of New Mexico and a National Certified Counselor (759654) certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I specialize in the field of eating disorders with additional interest in treating depressive disorders and anxiety-related illnesses. In 2006, I began working as a school counselor. In 2009, I moved into the field of eating disorders and mental health in private practice. All in all, I have more than 12 years experience, with many ages, many people, many diagnoses.
My philosophy is to help people of all ages find balance in their lives, believing that once balance is restored, health follows. Using an eclectic approach, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and body acceptance work into my practice. Considering psychotherapy to be much more than just a job, I am passionate about helping people work towards recovery and a healthy life. But, I also recognize that it can be scary to begin a new therapeutic relationship, so we will work together slowly to build trust as we work on your goals.

She has been very helpful brings great insight to me. I have difficulty with trust and tend to test people even counsellors! She has been very professional and it has been appreciated. Beth has a insightful & practical approach to the issues I wish to work through and always responds in a caring, respectful manner that allows me to feel safe to open up & trust her coaching.
