Brianne Overton, LPC
About me
Hello, I am a licensed professional counselor and a certified grief counselor. I have provided grief support and counseling for over 13 years to individuals, couples, and families. My training includes counseling children, teens, adults, and families with grief-related issues, developmental issues, and life transitions. My training also includes mobile crisis intervention, suicide training and prevention, and grief outreach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including loss, bereavement, anticipatory grief, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, career challenges, and life transitions.
I am guided by a collaborative and interpersonal process approach to counseling by using theories associated with a humanistic approach. I will incorporate aspects of other theories and techniques, depending on your needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary basis for change, and can be used to solve interpersonal problems.
It takes courage to seek support and I commend you for taking this initial step forward towards change. I look forward to working with you and to celebrating your progress as you take the next steps towards your life goals.

In the short time I had counseling with Dr. Overton I've felt understood and supported. She was always encouranging but honest about the struggles I might face during my journey.

I decided to start counselling to address some issues I had been struggling with for the past 3 years. I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist to help. Brianne is very friendly, warm and super easy to talk to and share my thoughts and feelings with.
I am so happy I chose to start counselling and Brianne has helped me in so many ways and after speaking to her for the last few months I am in a great head space and feel great about life.
Thank you so much Brianne you’ve been such an important positive influence and I can’t thank you enough for how much you’ve helped me.
I feel confident that any problems I have that I will be straight back on here to talk them through with you :)
Thanks again,
All the best :)
