My name is Britt and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I help individuals find their own unique level of success, using humor, honesty, and collaborative problem solving. My background includes child/human development, special education & disabilities, executive functioning, and mood disorders. Due to this, I would be most helpful to individuals looking for support with anxiety, depression, friendships/family relationships, focusing/attention issues, organization struggles (i.e. executive functioning skills), anger management, Autism Spectrum Disorders, goal setting, trauma, and/or parenting. I utilize a strengths-based, non-judgmental approach when guiding individuals, using solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness counseling techniques. I'm also trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
Before COVID, I worked primarily with adolescents in the school setting, supporting them through individual and/or group counseling, and by providing tips/strategies/supports to their parents, families, and teachers. However I have now been in the private practice setting for nearly 1 year, working with adults of all ages. During my free time, I foster dogs through a local canine rescue and volunteer with the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team. I stay grounded through connecting with friends/family, exercising/staying active, reading, playing guitar, bike riding, thrift shopping, and spending time in nature.

I've been doing counseling with Brittany for over a year now. She is always super easy going and understanding with my busy schedule which I greatly appreciate. Over time, she has helped me look at myself, life, and people around me differently and has given me tools to where I can be nicer to myself. When I feel like I'm going about things unconventionally or wrong she is not one to judge which makes me feel accepted. Although sometimes I do feel she gives the same advice quite often, I've noticed change in the way I solve issues such as low self esteem. I definitely recommend Brittany for people who need a good listening ear!

When I first started counseling I felt extremely anxious and nervous and honestly didn't even know how counseling could help but from the first session I had with Brittany my mind has completely changed. - Learns with you. I feel like the conversations I have had with Brittany are constantly evolving, when I am express a new fact or issue I have she is fantastic at pivoting and offering alternative more suitable advice.
