About Me

Hi there!

My name is Britt and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Denver, Colorado. I help individuals find their own unique level of success, using humor, honesty, and collaborative problem solving. My background includes child/human development, special education & disabilities, executive functioning, and mood disorders. Due to this, I would be most helpful to individuals looking for support with anxiety, depression, friendships/relationships, focusing/attention issues, organization struggles (i.e. executive functioning skills), anger management, Autism Spectrum Disorders, goal setting, and/or parenting. I utilize a strengths-based, non-judgmental approach when guiding individuals, using solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness counseling techniques.

I work primarily with adolescents in the school setting, supporting them through individual and/or group counseling, and by providing tips/strategies/supports to their parents, families, and teachers. During my free time, I foster dogs through a local canine rescue and volunteer with the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team. I stay grounded through connecting with friends/family, exercising/staying active, reading, and spending time in nature.

Brittany is very responsive.

I'm uncomfortable with the kind of therapist who just sits and listens to you talk, interjecting rarely and then only to ask, "...and how do you feel about that?"

That's not Brittany. She actively listens, responds, and participates. It's a conversation, not and endless one-way drone.

Britt is a wonderful counselor! She’s is a great listener, very observant and deductive, and was quick to help me pinpoint what I needed to work on. She acknowledged my strengths in a very real way, and helped me realize what tools I already had and some new ones that could really help in my situation. I always left our sessions feeling more empowered, having more clarity, and knowing exactly what I needed to do to help myself. She’s very honest, relatable, and has a good sense of humor. Brittany is so knowledgable but also no nonsense. She is extremely good at helping to identify and champion your strengths. I came to her needing a counselor that would push me to be accountable and she definitely has.
