It's very difficult to be in stressful situations that can cause lots of anxiety and self-doubt. Perhaps you're looking for something more than advice from family and friends. If you're looking for a warm and inviting counseling atmosphere, I am eager to work with you to develop effective coping skills and a greater self-awareness to reach your full potential. Together, you and I can work to set goals that are appropriate and attainable for you, at your pace. For therapy to be effective for you, I work hard to build genuine and long lasting trust.
I am a graduate of Florida State University and New York University, where I received my Bachelors and my Masters degrees respectively. I am currently a PhD candidate in the Counseling program at Montclair State University. My dissertation focus is on cross-racial supervision. As a doctoral student and candidate, I have participated in numerous research that focus on multicultural issues in counseling and supervision, including issues relates to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, spirituality/religion, and adoption. Following the completion of my PhD, I plan to become a full-time professor of Counselor Education while continuing to practice therapy in a private practice setting. I currently see clients in my own private practice, Clarity Mental Health and Wellness, LLC. Additionally, I am an adjunct professor of counseling --having taught classes at Montclair State University, St. John's University, and currently at Molloy College.
I have experience working with clients who have suffered from anxiety, depression, marital issues, self-esteem issues, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, and much more. Additionally, I believe that cultural factors are critical to the way we navigate through life. I work hard to address cultural matters, to understand how these may impact our perception of the world. I have an integrative theoretical approach where I am grounded in Person-Centered principles, but utilize tenets from Reality Therapy.

Candice is absolutely wonderful. She is an active listener and offers many different suggestions and tools to help with whatever issues I bring to our sessions. She is relatable and friendly and genuinely cares about her clients. I am so so happy that I found her on this app.
Very responsive and helpful. Brings insight and tools to help you understand and work on your personal goals.
Candice is wonderful, wise and optimistic. She helped me reach a lot of clarity in a short period of time.
From the moment we connected she understood me, she understood my sadness and was sympathetic. And when she was sympathetic, I felt she was listening to everything I had to say. I opened up to her immediately because she made me feel like it was safe to speak to her about anything.
Candice is a great therapist! She listens to what I have to say and provides thoughtful advice and answers. She helps with a variety of problems and is very kind as well.
