Hi, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT) and I have been working in a counseling field since 2000. I have experience working with Domestic Violence Abusers and Victims. In my own private practice ive worked successfully with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, teen concerns, life transitions, and a wide range of challenges, including grief/loss, trauma, abuse, Families, self esteem, Domestic abuse, anger and crisis management.
I mostly tend to draw from the person-centered approach when in a therapeutic relationship with my clients. This means that I make consistent efforts to meet each client "where they are" and to serve as a catalyst to each individual who is progressing through their unique process of self-discovery and self-identification. I also use such modalities as Somatic psychology , Relational therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also utilize Holistic, Identity building, Humanistic, existential, experiential, spiritual, narrative approaches and solution-focused therapy as well as emotion regulation work. I personal approach i am very direct, i like humor, Im enthusiastic about change, I like drawing on strengths of myself and you. I approach my clients as a relationship meaning im not a blank slate in the relationship i bring myself as a whole personal its my experience that this allows for greater success. I love my work, im successful in bettering my clients life's, this is my goal and my love. This is the way I like to approach my sessions – as a team, addressing challenges together to become free from judgment, criticism, and pain; to change our negative perceptions that do not serve us well, drawing on strengths and to live a joyful and peaceful life. I believe we both become better, calmer, and more peaceful people as we effect each other when done right;-) Cara, LMFT
For my professional growth, I continuously read related literature, keep myself up to date with the ethical and legal guidelines in the field, and the latest research, and attend conferences and trainings.
I believe in creating a space where we can have difficult conversations, work on resolving issues and collaborate on treatment plans that are tailored to your personal needs and experiences. It takes a lot of courage and motivation to reach out for additional support. I am here for you and thank you for trusting me with your utmost personal dilemmas.
I look forward to working with you!

Cara is so helpful. She is really good at being understanding and empathetic and can always help me better understand myself. I have grown so much from her support.
Authentic and knowledgeable :)
Cara has been such a blessing! I truly haven’t ever had such confidence in a therapist till meeting Cara. The guidance that she has given me in the few sessions we have had gives me so much hope for how much I can conquer in the future and I can’t wait to put in more work with her!!
Cara is amazing, she has helped me alot in hard and stressful times and have made me warm up from the first day I met her. She is amazing and would reccomend her to anybody.
I literally couldn’t have picked anyone better. I got really lucky being matched up with Cara. She’s so supportive and genuine, makes you laugh, but is also so knowledgeable and pragmatic. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Cara!
Cara has been really great and I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She’s straight forward and doesn’t treat me like I’m some fragile doll like a lot of my previous therapist have done. I also feel I’ve gotten more help out of our sessions than the years I spent going to traditional therapy. :)
Cara has been there for me through the roughest time in my life. I imagine speaking with her and being a client of hers for as long as she will let me. This is my first ever therapist and I couldn’t have asked for a better match
Cara is great! She makes you feel comfortable and her non traditional approach is perfect! You never feel like you are being judged for what you say or how you feel.
Cara is a godsend to me. She right away grasped and understood who I am as a person and what my struggles are. I immediately connected with her and she has gone above and beyond to help me and guide me and is always there. I have tried several therapists in the past and NONE have compared in the slightest bit to Cara. She is truly exceptional and I am the lucky one for having been connected with her. I never before felt so determined to overcome what I’m going through and feel with her guidance and wisdom, I can and will forge ahead with courage and conviction and finally get my life back on the right track where it’s supposed to be.
Thank you Cara! I am so grateful that I can recover so fast. Thanks for all the help!
Cara has been absolutely amazing thus far. Thank you for having her on your platform
