I’ve been in the human services field since 2000. I have provided services to children and youth, adults, and the elderly in county, in-patient, hospice, community-based and clinical agencies. I have worked with folks who have an array of issues including substance use disorders, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, parenting and family issues and change of life issues. Some of the diagnoses I have treated include: MDD, GAD, ASD, ADHD, ODD, DMDD, OCD, bi-polar disorders type I and II and personality disorders.
My treatment approach is strongly oriented to CBT/ REBT, but the modalities are flexible and allow me to meet you in your journey to becoming a You who is more at peace with how you got to where you are and how you want to get to where you want to go on your way to a more fulfilling life.

Carey was extremely helpful to talk to. He is very knowledgeable about a lot of things, he definitely knows his stuff. He helped me think about things in a new way and realize that some of my problems were more like symptoms of a deeper problem or feelings that I have, which helped me to tackle them in a different way than what I would have thought. I have been seeing Carey for almost a month now, and the progress that he has helped me make is beyond compare. When I first started with BetterHelp, I was reclusive and just wanted to hide— for a multitude of reasons— and it has been with Carey’s help that I have come out of that (at least a little bit.) He always has MY best interest at heart, constantly checks-in, and has the best availability that works for my schedule. Would absolutely see him in person if I could! 10/10 would recommend BetterHelp, and Carey, to anyone!
