Dr. Carla McGhee

(PhD., MA-LPC, LCPC)

About Me

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 14 years of experience. I am licensed in the states of Oregon, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. My education consists of both a master's degree in Counseling and Dance/Movement therapy, and a PhD. in Counseling Education. I have experience working with adults of all ages with a diverse range of concerns such as anxiety, relationship concerns, addictions, grief and loss, and various forms of trauma. I have also helped survivors of narcissistic abuse.
My approach is collaborative and holistic, attending to the mind, body, and spirit of the individual who seeks wisdom and healing. I work from the belief that all individuals have the capacity to heal, grow, and overcome life challenges. While my theoretical foundation is rooted in a humanistic framework, I also utilize cognitive-behavioral, existential, and trauma informed approaches of counseling, as I understand that one size does not fit all. I am open-minded and I will work with you in a way that suits your comfort level, preferences and needs.
