About Me

Hi! If you're here then you're likely struggling with something that you may need a little help with. Finding the right person to help you with that is important. In order to get where you want to go, you need to be able to connect quickly with your therapist. Here's a little about me that might help you make your decision.

I've been where many of my clients have been - poverty, depression, anxiety, trauma... you name it. That's why I decided to go into social work. When your therapist can look you in the eyes and say "I understand" and you know he or she does, that makes the ability to form a connection that much deeper. Most of my work has centered around helping others heal from trauma - sexual abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, depression and life changes.

The feedback I receive from my clients is that they find me very down to earth, very nonjudgmental and they've always appreciated that I am direct with them. You can expect the same from me. I can tell you how I see it and how I think we can work together so that you can reach the goals you want to achieve.

I'm open to live video sessions, text or phone. Whatever method of communication you are most comfortable with.

I think that I got SO LUCKY having a therapist that alligns with my wolrd views and makes me feel safe to discuss some personal values in a way that isnt judgemental but I recognize that it was totally random. I think to improve there needs to be a better matching system

I’ve only met with Cathy once so far, but I felt that she really listened to my needs and concerns. I like that she follows up and provides a lot of evening times to meet. I anticipate our relationship to continue to grow as I see her for more sessions.

After only a few sessions with Cathy, I was really able to get to the bottom of my mental struggles and understand the origin of my thoughts and more importantly modify the negative feelings and behaviors created by them. Cathy has been wonderful. She has tailored each exercise to work with my personal strengths and weaknesses and checks in with me periodically between regularly scheduled sessions. I would highly recommend her.
