Asking for help can be the most difficult decision you can make for yourself. It’s never easy as naturally we like to handle things on our own. Part of life can sometimes be that moment when you take a look at your life and wonder how you got to a certain point. Now is the time for you to start a new journey to a happier and emotionally healthier you. Strength comes in knowing when it’s time to ask for help and understanding that it is okay to need help sometimes.
Just as people are not all the same I do not believe in having a “cookie cutter” approach to counseling. I tailor our time together to meet your individual needs and the goals that you would like to meet in a non-judgmental environment. I am passionate about helping you meet your goals and finding the peace you are seeking. My approach is collaborative and compassionate focusing on individual strengths and creating a safe environment. I have experience in the following areas including but not limited to: Grief and loss, sexual abuse (victim), life transitions, trauma, LGBT issues, stress, Victims of Crime, and HIV/AIDS. I hope to encourage individuals to find healthy ways to cope in order to obtain emotional healing and understand the importance of self-care in their own lives.
I look forward to working with you!!
