Hello! My name is Christine Lord and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Minnesota. I have been a Social Worker for 18 years and have provided therapy for 10 years. I have such a rich experience working with people from all walks of life, dealing with all the various problems life can present. I believe knowing yourself, having loving relationships and a heart-felt desire for change are the most important factors in creating a vibrant life. I strongly hold compassion at the center of my work, knowing only love heals. I have a holistic approach that keeps us in the present moment by using mindfulness to understand what our mind, body and spirit is asking us to attend to right now. I believe when we ground into the present and into our bodies, we are more able to expand and use our creativity to find more peace and also concrete solutions and strategies!
I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, which allows me to help others understand how our bodies are responding to our thoughts and emotions and how our thoughts and emotions influence our bodies. This can be very fascinating because we “feel” so many of our symptoms in our body and when we listen to what our body is saying, there is a very wise story being told. I enjoy helping people open up to possibility, curiosity and love.
I believe we are already whole and complete but sometimes forget and need a little guidance to return home. I know we all have narratives around our limiting beliefs and how we are “not good enough.” I want to help people find a new voice and write a new chapter in their life. Our life begins within our own experience and when witnessed by another, caring individual, we can feel safe enough to make the necessary changes to improve our life satisfaction. I also love working with people and using their own spiritual and cultural beliefs to help them heal, forgive and find unconditional love for themselves and others.
Sometimes our life journey has been challenging from the start and sometimes we just need temporary support to get us back on our feet again. Either way, I am an empathic, embodied witness, honored to share space with anyone willing to examine more deeply their human experience.

She is so helpful and understands me so well!
Christine has been amazing. She’s sensitive to my personal issues and I feel she has helped me a great deal. I look forward to our sessions and I will continue to book with her in the future.
I absolutely have enjoyed working with Christine, she has been extremely helpful in helping me manage everyday life, including being a mom, wife, and working through my dissertation.
Just want to say , during these extraordinary times of stress with Covid and everything that goes with that. Christine has been the right person to help walk this journey through that . I cannot say enough what a support she has been to me! With high anxiety and ptsd ,. Christine just gets it, she gets me and is so validating, empthetic and extremely helpful walking me through this time. She is the best!!
Love her! So helpful!!!
Christine is great. She offers helpful advice and really listens to what I have to say.
Christine has been a blessing. I feel like she has helped me so much. I really enjoy connecting with her and listening to the advice she gives. Unlike my previous counselors, she doesn't just listen for an hour. She is very engaging and gives feedback. I feel like I've made serious progress since I started therapy with her. Thank you, Christine!
Christine is such a great counselor and I'm lucky to have her.
Christine has been such an amazing resource for me. She was so incredibly understanding and offered sound advice as well as validated my feelings through unemployment as well as the loss of a beloved pet. Her schedule was flexible as was her methods. She also offered guided meditation with my session, which I found so helpful to put me in a healthy space to deal with the hard topics. I highly recommend her as well as Betterhelp.
Christine is very kind and lets me progress through the awkwardness to starting therapy at whatever pace I want to go, which really helps me open up. I appreciate her very much!
Christine is the perfect counselor for me, I feel like she really understands me. I can tell her everything and she is sympathetic, understanding and gives me solid advice. I truly couldn't have been matched with a better person, she is smart, insightful, kind, accomplished and down to earth.
Open minded, caring and is in tune with different ways of both communicating, helping you view you ‘areas of concern’ from different angles . Highly recommend to any midwestern human.
Christine has given me a chance to understand certain aspects about myself that I don't really pay attention to and I appreciate her for that I look forward to the next steps working with her I feel great about the help she is providing me.
I’ve appreciated Christine’s immediate openness and vulnerability with me. This has created a connection I would not have expected through a digital screen.
I have only had a couple sessions with Christine but what I have experienced so far has been very positive. She is very soft and understanding but challenges me to explore my thoughts and experiences. She has been very helpful for me as a support person. Her non-judgmental attitude creates a safe space for me during session.
Christine responds very promptly. She asks thought provoking questions. She will send worksheets to help dig deeper into issues or provide articles that give tools to handle life. I appreciate knowing someone is there in my corner-listening without being judgemental. Thank you.
Amazing friend, more than a therapist!
