I am a CA-based therapist with over 21 years of clinical work in the mental health field. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Doctor of Psychology degree, and 12 years of experience in neuropsychology. I am a Certified Dementia Care Specialist. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, families, and seniors in both Oregon and California. I am a former foster parent from the state of Oregon, and I understand individuals with special needs and neurobehavioral problems. I celebrate neurodiversity and cultural differences! I lead a weekly Mild Traumatic Brain Injury support group for individuals with persistent post-concussive symptoms, and I have presented to groups on the topic of Moving Forward Toward Posttraumatic Growth.
My treatment approach is integrative, including Brain-based, Cognitive Behavioral, Relational, Interpersonal, Trauma Focused, Existential, and Validation Method (dementia) techniques. The first steps in therapy require vulnerability and trust, and I will work with you to build a safe therapy room where you can discuss anything. I am ready to work with you collaboratively to tackle your needs. I will offer unconditional acceptance and honor your self determination. Together we will create a plan to help you manage your challenges, while building on your strengths to move forward in life. I invite you to see if we are a good fit and if you might benefit from my services. Let's get started!

Dr. Martinez is a kind and connecting therapist.
Dr. Martinez is the best and most insightful therapist I’ve ever had. She truly cares about her clients and engages in a way that provides incredible value. I never thought I’d get this out of an app.
Dr. Martinez is always there when I need help and someone to listen. It seems to me that she genuinely cares even though we have never formally met. A great counselor. I highly recommend her to anyone.
I was thrilled to have Dr. Connie Martinez reach out to me when I was desperately in need of finding a way to get back on track. I had sought out therapy years ago so I knew that I wasn't feeling like myself. Instead of back sliding I chose to reach out so that I could refocus on my mental health in order to get my mental illness under control. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I can honestly say I was super impressed by her professional journey. Her devotion to helping others as well as all of her outstanding achievements made me feel all that much more confident in her ability to help me. She created a comfortable enviornment and gave me all the right tools so I could help myself.
Dr. Martinez has been very helpful and understanding in dealing with my ADHD symptoms.
Dr. Martinez is a very knowledgeable and caring professional. I always look forward to our sessions and find them very helpful.
Dr. Martinez has been such an incredible gift to me. She is insightful, caring, wise, and asks the perfect questions to help find roots and solutions. I am so grateful for her time and her wisdom.
Returning to therapy after 5 years away was difficult for me - and the idea of doing it over the phone or through video was not comforting... but Dr. Martinez ended up being a wonderful match for me. With just two sessions under my belt, I feel better, I feel listened to, I have tools in my toolbox, and just have a really nice rapport with Connie already. She is calming, yet upbeat, inspiring and realistic. I really like her as a person and therapist and would recommend her and BetterHelp counseling to anyone I care about.
Dr. Martinez is very easy to talk to. She listens and really hears me.
