I am a psychotherapist who is committed to supporting adolescents and adults manage the complex world of behavioral health. My approach is grounded in harm reduction, mindfulness-based interventions and compassion, which delves into what is driving the problematic symptoms that greatly impact your overall quality of life. Our work is centered around your goals and reconnecting you to what matters most. My practice is also rooted in Polyvagal Theory, which is a neuroscience framework for restoring calm and connection. Through a somatic, Polyvagal informed lens, we can create space to explore what is driving depression, anxiety or addiction and begin to cultivate skillful and psychologically flexible responses.
I received a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and hold a NYS CASAC certification for substance related disorders. I completed my clinical training at Zucker Hillside Hospital, a part of the Northwell Health System. I have additional training in mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with trauma informed approaches, including sensorimotor therapy. I have over 6 years of progressive experience in both hospital and outpatient settings supporting clients and am Board Certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
