With a Master's degree in clinical counseling, I have a bachelor's in exercise science/holistic health. As a yoga/fitness instructor and personal trainer of 40+ years, holistic health, somatic feedback and mindfulness are core components in my therapeutic approach to healing. I believe in tending to the health of our mind, body, and spirit rather than treating them as separate. I believe the are each sources of information and healing and each impact the other; I have witnessed profound changes in clients who have learned how to seek balance and harmony in their holistic health.
Sober 15 years, and with many years of experience in addictions/recovery, I have also recovered from 2 major back surgeries and understand how to manage chronic pain. I specialize in chronic pain, trauma, depression/anxiety and healing. I prefer to work with adults.
I have a humanistic approach to therapy; I embrace the magic of existentialism and Gestalt; I celebrate the capacity of the human brain and body to always seek health; I chose the viewpoint that we are energetic beings with the essence of joy our source; I appreciate the honor of witnessing and embracing life.
I would describe myself as a curious, mature, independent-thinking, solution-focused, trauma-informed, heart-embracing, optimistic woman with many ideas, skills and tools to help others enhance their quality of life.

Dana has given me great tools and exercises that help manage stress, anxiety, and depression. She is kind, honest, and a very good listener. I enjoy my sessions with Dana and feel like alot gets accomplished.
Dana is a wonderful person and advocate. She was always very understanding and gave me great tools to help with the issues I was struggling with. Approach this journey with Dana with a clear mind and willingness to improve and you will be more than satisfied.
Dana is a life changer for me. She is smart and wise. I appreciate her!
Dana is wise beyond the typical counseling, she has lived her life authentically and the proof is in pudding. Blunt, honest, and REAL!
Absolutely love working with Dana! Her common sense mixed with the spiritual allows me to see my path going forward. Not to mention her sense of humor - which is so important when spending time with another person. Her consistency of approach in seeing how I could effect change in myself stays with me. Along my journey of working with Dana, I went through becoming a Reiki master, incorporating my intuition skillset and did some meetings with adults of alcoholics. She's great at listening and asking the questions that let me determine how to best move forward. A wonderful person who doesn't beat around the bush. Thank you Dana for all of your wisdom, humor, and insights.
She listens to me and gives great advice.
She is great and definitely listens. It is always hard to find a good in the therapy world, but I have definitely found it with Dana.
Dana is amazing. I’ve been seeing her for about two months. She gives me such great tools that I can easily integrate into my daily life. She communicates with me on a level I can meet her at. She’s empathetic and intuitive and understands what I’m going through. She offers tangible guidance and stability. I couldn’t recommend her more
Nice and relaxed which is exactly what I need. She is very easy to talk to, and also responds quickly to messages.
Dana is a phenomenal therapist. She really listens to me and is incredibly encouraging. She has given me tools to feel more confident in myself and my wisdom. Her eclectic style works quite well for me, as she has flexibility to navigate the nuances of mental health in beautiful and meaningful ways. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking to get some help, especially those who feel like overly-structured forms of therapy are ill-fitting. Dana is such an encouragement and a light.
I can't put into words how amazing this woman is...that will have to do for now. She is insightful, incredibly wise, meets you where you are, makes you laugh, is inspiring, encouraging, motivating, and just...well....AWESOME!
Dana did an excellent job identifying my needs right away and then giving me meaningful and practical strategies to address my anxiety. I would highly recommend working with her!
Dana and I have only had a few sessions and after the first I noticed myself looking forward for the next session. I am someone who has never even considered a therapist as I am a “manly man” haha. As much as I don’t want to “need” therapy I am beyond happy that Dana has come into my life. She listens, reads you, let’s you rant, then attacks! I believe she has saved my marriage. Thanks again Dana, you’re the best!
Dana is a very supportive therapist who really cares about how you are doing and wants to help. She creates a space where you feel free to express yourself. She pushes back against unhealthy statements as needed. Dana is a story-teller and weaves personal examples into her therapy sessions. She also knows a great deal about how our bodies react physically and how it and the mind connect. She can provide spiritual connections re connecting the body and inner self.
Dana is wonderful.
Dana has her clients' best interest at heart, and that's hard to find these days. I really feel like she says what needs to be said, even if it's hard for me to hear it. That's the only way to real growth.
I am super thankful that I get to talk to Dana, and I can't explain how helpful she has been. She is very bubbly and free, and I feel that I can be myself when talking to her. Not only does she listen, but she gives me exercises that I can do on my own without having to be on the call. I have learned so many new skills from our calls, and I couldn't recommend her more.
I really enjoy Dana. She has a great way of balancing my mental health concerns with keen responses, breathing and centering techniques with a dash of humor. And she actually listens which is super important to me. She listens to what I’m saying or feeling and offers ways for me to deal with each situation. So far, I’m feeling confident that Dana can help me:)
She’s amazing! And has been so supportive and helpful for me
Dana was an absolute JOY to work with and I think she is such a warm, pure soul. She has taught me so much in the time we worked together and I’m grateful for that.
Dana is a great listener and has already helped so much in a short period of time. I feel comfortable with her and she’s very easy to talk to. She has given me great techniques to practice.
Dana is an incredible person and therapist alike! She’s lively and lovely and REAL…all at once!
She offers countless techniques to navigate numerous life situations and she helps me put those techniques into practice! She also helps me foster a self-confidence that I didn't know I was capable of, both in the professional setting and social! BetterHelp is the most user friendly therapy option out there!
Dana is very attentive and had great insights on what my possible motivations are and how to combat those. She’s been available when I needed her and provided great feedback for me!
Dana and I share a lot of the same experiences, and speak a similar language and vocabulary around self help, healing and spirituality so it made speaking with here easy? Like talking to a friend. She was really great about initiating conversation and was proactive in our interactions, which I appreciated.
I worked with Dana for a few months at the tail end of the pandemic, and immediately following my divorce. I was dealing with overwhelming immediate stressors, as well as environmental stressors and severe anxiety. I've never been able to afford weekly therapy before, and didn't know how to do it, but I knew I needed help.
Working with Dana was wonderful! She immediately found connections between our language and approaches, and moved forward from there. Dana is a good listener, but more importantly to me, she learned when I was simply spinning in mental circles, and helped me find an off ramp to those useless, recurring thoughts of "Everything is awful" and "I can't handle this."
I always looked forward to my weekly conversation with Dana, knowing I would be able to bring up anything, and we would find a way to talk through it. She's kind, funny, fearless, honest, and very very clever. Therapy with Dana was healing, enjoyable, and challenging in the good way. I felt validated and understood. I never felt like I had to soften or change what I wanted to say. Dana is truly a safe person, and a great therapist.
When I felt ready to take a break from therapy to focus on other healing and growth, Dana was supportive and made great recommendations as to what my next steps may be.
When I'm ready to return to therapy, I know I'll seek to work with Dana again.
I am so lucky to have been matched with Dana. I cannot stress how much she has helped me - working with me to find and build the tools I need to have a happier and healthier life experience. She was flexible, supportive, honest, a kind safe space, and opened my mind to so many things. I cannot recommend her enough. and am so, so, SO thankful to work with her.
I engaged in therapy with Dana to help with my anxiety and depression. Within a few sessions, she helped me to see that the tools I needed were already there, I need to just stop denying myself access to them. I really appreciate her approach to the connection of mind/body/soul and have learned to be less reactive and judgmental of myself which has been an important part of my growth. Her demeanor is welcoming and joyful and yet she is also not at all afraid to dig into deep hurts and trauma.
Dana is incredible! She listened to everything I had to say and always gave valid and reasonable suggestions for improvement. She has helped me to find my inner peace and instill great practices to continue using in my daily life. We worked through many different items and I always came out of my sessions with the tools I needed. I am extremely grateful to Dana. I have so much confidence in navigating this journey of life thanks to the knowledge and skills she helped me to learn. Thank you!
Dana is great! She does a wonderful job of helping you realize your value and walk you through challenges offering support and guidance. She is realistic and down to earth. Easy to talk to and trust.
Dana is calm and compassionate. She listens and responds very well but also a super real perspective. I can't wait to continue working with her.
Dana is an incredible counselor. In addition to general covid stressors I have been going through a lot of personal change over the past year, and was struggling to find myself and any form of stability in the tumult of my life in the current era. Dana was a massive help in weathering this storm. Her holistic mind-body-spirit approach and deep insights were exactly what I needed. Dana is not afraid to be open and vulnerable about her own life story when she sees how it can help her clients. She is very thoughtful and able to philosophize about poignant insights into the human condition if it is fitting. She is well equipped to (along with a myriad of other things) help those like myself who need to be better at listening to the heart and gut as much as they listen to their mind, and to disengage from obsessive thoughts. Dana is kind, attentive, and wise. If you think she might be a good fit for you I absolutely recommend giving her a shot and seeing how things go.
Great perspectives, great counseling style. Dana is a refreshing change from therapists I have had in the past.
Dana was a breath of fresh air when I was matched with her on betterhelp! She is not just your average therapist, or what I believed a therapist was! She helped me recognize and accept my body the way it is (my main issue being body image). Her speciality in my experience has been helping me find mindset shifts and changing my perspective about something that bothers me. I would highly recommend her!!
Dana has been so helpful in diving into my traumas, triggers, and tribulations. I appreciate that she has so much experience in the things that I struggle with and want to discuss. She feels like a soul sister. It is clear she has studied and become such an expert in so many modalities of health and wellness. I appreciate Dana.
Dana is wonderful. I’ve had 1 session with her - within that 1 session she has given me tools and made me realize things I (in the last 10 years and going in and out of rehabs, treatment programs and completing all of my CAC1 and CAC2 classes) have NEVER heard before. Saying she’s amazing is an understatement. Thank you for listening and your guidance, I’m excited for our next session
Dana is a wonderful listener and gives great feedback. She gave me some good homework that I am slowly working thru. I feel validated by her and look forward to working with her again.
Something clicked today in my conversation with Dana when thinking all the tools and exercises that we've been discussing together over the last few months. I had an 'aha' moment today realizing that changing my perspective, it's not work or effort but simply, yes simply, slowing down to be more in tune to myself and enjoying it. Before talking with Dana, everything just felt like so much work and her insights and gentle wisdom and guidance have brought me to such a greater understanding of myself. Thanks Dana!
Dana is caring and professional. She responds to me and offers insight. I am glad to be working with her.
Dana was so great!! I only did a month but she was very helpful. She gave me lots of new coping skills and tricks I can keep using after counseling has ended. I feel like I have really grown as a person during my month on this app. I will continue working on myself and using all the skills she gave me!!
Dana speaks to my soul. Her words and energy bring peace and awareness to my being. I'm so grateful and joyful to have her as my counselor. She has helped me grow and embrace myself. She's truly an earth angel.
Dana's unique approach is fantastic if you are ready to do some deep self examination. Highly recommend.
Dana is a god.
I worked with Dana throughout the coved outbreak. I was in a dark place with my health, having to leave my job and dealing with four children during a pandemic. The universe truly connected us. Dana was a perfect match for me. She helped me find ways to cope with my chronic pain through breathing exercises and stretching. She was a great help and I highly recommend her to anybody who wants a mind-body connection in their healing.
Dana is a wonderful therapist and I am so thankful that I was assigned to her after changing from my first therapist. She reminded me that I can trust my own intuition and feel empowered. She has helped me to reclaim who I am again, become unstuck and move forward in life, and to wonder about things instead of worrying about them. She is amazing!
Dana worked with me for several weeks through a really dark time in my life. She helped me see and think about things from a different perspective and gave me tools to acknowledge and stop my overthinking habits as well as keeping a mindset of curiosity instead of anticipating that I know what’s going to happen. It really helped a lot. Talking to her feels like you’re talking to a friend.
Dana and I worked to together for 4 months, and it was a great experience. Dana listened to my goals for therapy, she took a holistic approach that included body, emotion and mind, and held no judgement (I struggle with body image and have been working hard to not fight my body). I felt supported by Dana, and was able to move forward and reach my goals.
Which leads me to sharing something that was a first for me: with Dana's support and encouragement, I have just completed therapy (for the time being). I know that there will be times in my life when therapy will again be a wonderful resource, and I appreciate that Dana was the one to note that I had reached my goals, and maybe it was time to fly solo.
Dana offers so many different techniques and strategies to help my take care of my mind, body, and spirit all together. She walks me through exercises that help me gain perspective and take a more active role in the way I am feeling. Dana reaches out to me even when I stop scheduling appointments. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’ve got her on my team and in my corner.
Dana is like no other therapist I’ve ever had. It was out of my comfort zone and I think that helped me look at things differently. She takes a more holistic approach to handling life issues. I’m used to coming in and talking about the day-to-day (which I did on occasion) but this was more 'big picture,' how are you handling/perceiving/interacting with these individual “events” in your life. I took notes during our sessions and went back many times to reread nuggets from our conversations.
My experience with Dana so far has been wonderful. I feel heard, seen and respected by her. I'm really looking forward to continuing this journey with her.
I find it very comforting to know she understands what I am going through.
I have never once felt like I was "on the leather couch" whenever I talk with Dana. She allows space for me to feel vulnerable, but extremely safe at the same time which I think is very important when it comes to counseling. In doing so I feel like I have been able to pinpoint and address just about everything that has ever come up during our sessions! She truly is a wonderful human being.
Dana is an absolute gift. She has put words to my feelings, and words for healing. It has been truly fantastic working with her and reorganizing my thought-patterns so I can be a happier, more full-filled human. She was the second counselor I was assigned, so I am v happy I trusted my gut by requesting a new one, and the universe put her in my life.
I am so lucky to have had the chance to work with Dana! I am lgbtq+ and found her extremely supportove and helpful. I feel confident that whatever topic we are working on (lgbtq+ or not), she will be able to help me. Thank you so much Dana! :)
Dana is thoughtful and easy to talk to. She listens intently and provides wonderful perspective on how I handle certain emotions. I'm thankful to find someone like this on my first experience with BetterHelp.
Dana is terrific! I was worried video counseling would be awkward but Dana made it easy and it wasn’t awkward at all. She is mindful, attentive, caring, and we’ve shared lots of laughs while working through some hard things. Highly recommend ❤️
Dana is extremely compassionate, honest, and insightful. I started working with her due to personal, career, and global insecurities and although these are still present, I feel more equipped to move forward. I recommend Dana to anyone who wants more direct / honest feedback and is ready to self reflect as they journey forward. Thank you, Dana!
I appreciate Dana’s insight and the overall feeling of well being that comes from working with someone towards person goals. I find the online platform to be accessible and helpful, especially since most of us have our phones with us all the time.
Dana helped me open up and taught me how to think introspectively. She is great!
Dana has been an amazing asset during one of the busiest times of my life as a mother and professionally. She has helped me with mental framing, relaxation, has lended me a listening ear when my anxiety needed it the most, and has also been the better voice I needed exactly when I needed to hear it. I truly look forward to our sessions for her insight on bettering myself in all aspects of life. Thank you Dana!
Dana is wonderful and I really feel like she listens and understands me, even when I sometimes don't have much to say.
Dana has great intuition combined with a breadth of experience in areas that align with my needs. In a short period of time I have had multiple “aha” moments. It’s still a process and I’m long from “cured” but I’m seeing areas I have control over that I didn’t see before.
Dana is a wonderful therapist! She's very helpful and insightful. Her perspectives are very useful for everything from trauma to anxiety to getting motivated. She's also very kind and funny and I would recommend her to anyone.
I have been putting off talking to someone for a while but figured it was time. I could not have asked for a better person to talk to. Dana is an incredibly responsive and passionate person wanting to help. She is so understanding and knowledgeable. She was able to connect with me immediately and understood some of my troubles and how to turn them into good! She has given me a couple great suggestions and things to work on and I am very excited to put them into use to become a better person! I will definitely be speaking with Dana again!
