Hello, I am Danielle!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. And I am here to support you with reaching your maximum level of wellness, happiness, and peace. I aim to help you explore your current situation and find solutions to this situation in a way that allows you to move forward and be comfortable with making positive progression.
My goal is to help you become the absolute best version of you, by accompanying you on your journey of self-exploration in a safe and judgment-free space.
A little about me…
I was born and raised in South Los Angeles, California. I am a mother, a grandmother, a sister, aunt, have been a wife, and caregiver. I own pets (2 cats, 1 dog, 1 turtle), and honestly love all animals. I enjoy nature; the sounds, and the aromas of trees, the ocean, mountains, and wildflowers, this grounds me and allows me to live in brief stolen moments in this crazy life.
My passion is people and the diversity of our existence. I once read that “diversity is the ability to think separately, together”. (Malcolm Forbes). I truly see myself in all people and all things. Because of this belief, I do what I do, and I am becoming what I am purposed to be, and I hope to aide you with the same.
A little about what I do…
I have provided direct services care in many diverse areas from education to advocating and now mental health for over 25 years. I have been a therapist working with community-based outpatient mental health for over 6 years. I have provided therapeutic services to individuals ranging in age up to 83 years young.
I am passionate about engaging with people that are skeptical about seeking therapeutic services. And because I believe in the power of individuality, I approach each of my clients as individuals experiencing a problem, rather than focusing on the problem itself. My desire is to aide my clients with identifying thoughts as they associate with feelings and behaviors from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective. But I also realize that many times, in order to understand one's thoughts, we have to explore the origination of thoughts through a psychodynamic lens. I encourage my clients to take a transparent leading role in the therapeutic relationship in an effort to not only make desired adjustments at the moment but to master their ability to do so throughout the rest of their lives.
I believe that we all can help ourselves, but sometimes, we need assistance in identifying how to begin. My role is to be the lighthouse during your storm.
