At the start of 2022 I realized that through BetterHelp I could finally reach my goal to work private practice full - time. Through my career, I have primarily worked with adults in various settings, but the past 5 years dedicated it to teenagers in the criminal justice system. I have Hospice experience which is where I gained my passion for grief and loss as well as dealing with phase of life changes. This hit home to me hard the past 4 years as I watched and cared for my mother who battled Ovarian Cancer. She passed away November 2019 and I took a step back from my private practice work and just focused on my healing as well as my work at the Juvenile Center. In August of 2020, I started back up with private practice and did this with BetterHelp. Once 2022 hit, I was ready to transition from working with teens in the juvenile justice system and the parents of juvenile delinquency, to taking a step with BetterHelp full time. I have experience with inpatient psychiatric care, crisis intervention, hospice, and chronic medical illness, as well as a wide range of mental health and relationship issues. I have a passion for helping people find peace of mind and strength to work on the challenges that they are facing.

Dayna is great. I have been seeing her for over a year and she continues to go at my pace even when I don’t realize what my pace needs to be. She knows when we need to slow down if what we are working on is too intense. That shows her expertise, ability and desire to really help me. She is honest when feedback is needed that maybe I don’t want to hear but she also is very compassionate and driven to help me heal . She challenges me to continue to grow and better myself. She is … “simply the best.” :)

She is the upmost professional and thoughtful therapist. Gives you examples of how to speak to people in which you may have conflict and pushes you to think outside the box.
The amount of coping mechanisms and strategies she can offer is remarkable.
Truly has an art for her craft in this profession! 100 percent recommend

Dayna has been amazing throughout my entire therapy experience. I truly feel like she cares about me, she makes a point to check in when we have a tough session, and she's so encouraging. I'm so grateful that I matched with her. She's been a great fit for me and is really helping me to challenge my thinking and give me the tools I need to improve my mental health.

I have been seen Dayna for a short time, however she has been amazingly supportive and adaptable to wherever our conversations and my needs may take us. We have started working on some tools that are truly helping me rethink how I think about my negative thoughts. I've already started to feel less anxiety in some of my triggering situations. Hopefully with the tools and work we will continue that trend.
