About Me

Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I love my work. I have been in the field for over 20 years and have served in a variety of capacities. I also teach college courses in Psychology and Early Childhood Education at a local community college. Whether you are facing challenges, or merely seeking change in your life, working with a therapist can assist you in your journey. I have experience working with individuals, couples, children and families. Issues that often bring people to therapy are feelings of depression, loss, anxiety, relationship concerns, low self esteem and the desire to change. Therapy can help with these issues. If you are a parent and have concerns about your child's development, behavior, school issues, or parenting, I bring specialized training and experience having worked with children 0-18 in other venues and would love to talk with you.

My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved by listening to your concerns and building a trusting, non-judgmental partnership where we work together to identify goals, and learn skills that will help you live your best life.

I appreciate my clients willingness to allow me to earn their trust, assist in their journey to healing and health and celebrate their successes!

Excellent counselor!

I came into my first therapy session with Debbie knowing that I'd have A LOT of complex issues to discuss. She let me rant and speak, validated my feelings when necessary, and created a comfortable environment. She even noticed cultural differences and was trying to understand those differences, which helps so much to grasp the context of things. I really recommend her.

So far Debbie has been able to help me identify and zero in on my concerns.

Debbie is thoughtful, patient, and understanding. She's able to navigate some of my fears, pains, and anxieties and give me useful feedback for how to better myself.
