About Me

My 16 years of experience in the mental health field have shown me that people can make positive adjustments when they are motivated to do so and they can clearly see the benefits of change. I offer counseling services that motivate individuals to harness their strengths, make good decisions, and reach their personal goals.
I believe a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship is crucial to successful treatment. My therapeutic approach is solution-focused and emphasizes the mind-body connection. By working together we can reduce negative behaviors and develop healthy coping techniques that last a lifetime.
Additionally, as a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, I offer a nonjudgemental space to explore your use and the impact it has had on your life.
I am equally committed to couples and family therapy; to help initiate new cycles of interaction, and foster a safe and supportive bond between partners.

I am glad that I started this off when I did. I feel as though I have improved somewhat in ways I don't know if I could on my own. I don't feel as guilty as I used to bothering my friends about little things, now that I have Debra to help me sort out my anxiety.

I am extremely grateful to Debra and to BetterHelp for this platform. I'm still new to this, but it has already been so helpful. I have anxiety around discussing things we're talking about in person, and around therapy in general. This format is much more casual, I can show up on my schedule, when I am ready to open up, on my terms. That's huge for me. Thank you so much!!!

I was immediately impressed how Debra was able to focus in on my issues and single out the 1 component that was important. Since then I feel that I have made progress. I enjoy the format and flexibility plus confidentiality. Debra has helped me more than I thought possible in a short amount of time.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Debra and look forward continuing this relationship. I feel she genuinely cares and likes what she does. She’s honest but kind. She listens and remembers things I’ve said before. Her approach is very practical, which is something I appreciate. I always feel I have something to work on and practical things try. Thank you!
