I work with all individuals with a myriad of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use issues, and general life skills. I specialize in groups that are historically pathologized. I am dedicated to working with all individuals including those with gender identity/expression concerns, sexual identity/expression concerns (LGBTQIA); and relationship structure concerns (polyamory, open relationships, and consensual non-monogamous) relationships.
I'm a licensed professional counselor, chemical dependency counselor, life coach, and a trained sex therapist. My style identifies connections between emotions, behavior, and outcomes. It's a strength, and solutions based approach where clients will work to see tangible results. I encourage and motivate. My approach is client affirming.
I have honed my assessment, treatment and goal setting skills with diverse populations. I've learned that it is important to listen, help clarify goals, and assist in people finding their solutions. This conversation expands the ability of the client to make changes, move forward and feel better.

I feel like everything was paced very well within each session. She allowed room for me to communicate which helped me to make many of realizations on my own. I appreciate the open minded attitude that helped me feel comfortable with sharing.

It's been nearly six months since I started therapy with Diana and she is nothing short of amazing. I have noticed gradual positive changes in my behaviors since I've been working with her. Diana knows when to listen and when to ask questions. She understands how to gently, but effectively point out things that I need to see on my own. She does it in such a way that it dawns on me without her having to explain it to me.
I've only been speaking with Diana for almost 2 and a half weeks. But she has opened my eyes to things in my on going problem that I haven't seen or realized before. She's an amazing listener and I am glad that I was paired with her.
Working with Diana over the past 8 months has been a sanity saver. She guides our sessions with equal gentleness and strong self reflection (including followup observations and reflections I can review between sessions). Diana has been everything I was expecting and more. She has carefully been listening and has provided ideas and encouragement moving forward. She asks tactful questions. She can also be direct when providing feedback. Also happy she is open minded and knowledgeable on LGBT specific subjects.
Diana made me feel at ease from the first session. She is very open-minded and solution oriented. My sessions with her have really calmed my anxiety and helped me become more self aware about the issues that I am having. Diana sends me very useful resources after each session to help me process what we discuss. It has been only been a few sessions so far and I am already seeing improvement.
