Diane Martori

About Me

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of New York. I graduated from Fordham University with a Masters in Social Work and I have been providing counseling and therapeutic services for the past 8 years. I have experience in both residential and outpatient settings with a wide array of clients and presenting problems, including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, and adjusting to life changes. I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection and the profound healing that comes from integrating mind and body. I am also a certified yoga instructor and I have been teaching yoga for the past 4 years.

My therapeutic approach involves drawing from different theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and Mindfulness. I offer concrete tools and skills to assist with managing day-to-day challenges while also working with thought patterns and beliefs that may be consciously or unconsciously held. I tailor my approach to meet each individual's needs and build upon already existing strengths.

It is my hope that we can work together so you can feel peaceful, happy, and healthy!

So far, Diane has exceeded my expectations. We are still in the beginning of our counseling relationship. She has so far demonstrated empathy, skills and ideas how to get my goals met. She gives me valuable feedback and has taught me some basic skills and exercises that I wasn’t aware of and can easily use. I feel like I have a partner who wants to see me succeed, which is In and of itself, motivating. So far so good.

I have never felt so supported in my time of need than I do with Diane. I have been struggling to find someone who understood me, didn't judge me, and truly felt what I was going through and offered so many ways to help. I couldn't be happier I found Diane and will shout it to the rooftops!
