About Me

When someone comes to me, my first priority is helping them to get unstuck and out of pain. Then we work on what caused the situation in the first place. Often it's about learning skills and techniques to create the love and life you really want to have.

Watching people heal, grow and realize their own potential, is why I do this. And I'm all about results. Over the last 18 years in my psychology work, I heard over and over again that people were getting where they wanted to be, way faster and with less distress than they could have imagined. When I worked with insurance companies, the stats were impressive, as up to 90% of people who worked with me--stayed with me. And you know you'd only stay if you were getting results.

As I often say in my first session, my goal is to get you to leave me. How it works is I teach you. You learn and pass along what you got. The result is a world that's happier for all of us. The way we do this is with a combination of cognitive behavioral and spiritual (not religious) psychology techniques. In the end, it is all an inside job. When you get to where you want to be inside, the external world falls right into line.

I've worked with hundreds and hundreds of people who were depressed, anxious, dealing with loss, struggling in relationships and with finding ways to motivate themselves and build their self-esteem. And while everyone is different, I've got such a warehouse of tools at this point--I seem to be able to offer something that gets things unstuck and that really works. So please know, you don't have to know how to make the changes you want. But you do have to be willing. And if you are, let's work together and get you where you want to be.

Eileen is a model all therapists should aspire to be. She is intelligent, professional, respectful and focuses her attention on your treatment needs. She brings all that along with her compassion, patience, understanding and a true and genuine concern for your well- being. She is so good about checking in with you and responding to your messages as soon as she possibly can.

I am an individual with deep rooted trust issues that have in the past made therapy a very lengthy process in trying to gain that trust if it ever happened at all. I've been working with Eileen for 3 months and I've never felt in more capable hands. I can blindly trust Eileen to guide me thru the work and process I need to heal. Her confidence is contagious and speaks of her successful experiences with clients before me who have walked the same path I am on now. She invites you into a place that is safe; where human-ness, kindness and giving attention feeds the opportunity for growth and happiness. She's all about the self-love but wont hesitate to call you out at times to get to the deep stuff. She's amazingly giving and beautifully humble. This has been an incredible experience and I look forward to my healing journey with Dr. Norton by my side. Thanks Eileen for e-v-e-r-y thing.

Thank you BetterHelp for making this therapists available to me.

Dr. Norton has been very patient with me. She has suggested different exercises that help me through a particular situation. I'm happy that this site is available for people like me who don't have the time to schedule an appointment in person. Thank you.

After working with her for some time, I strongly feel that Dr. Norton brings to our discussions a lot of wisdom, patience, and good judgement. She is very supportive, but is also very professional about making sure that I am on the right track and steering me away from negative behaviors and thought patterns. I have her to thank for all of the progress I have made, and after experiencing so much change, I am looking forward to growing even more and getting even better.

Finding Dr. Norton has been a very different experience compared to other types of therapy I have gone through. Even though I don't sit in a chair and talk with her face to face, I find her insights and read on me more accurate than those sessions. I am grateful I can be 100% me with all my twists and layers. She responds consistently and is not afraid to go deep.

Dr. Norton has far surpassed my expectations as a counselor, and is by far the best one I've ever had. I've been learning new things and new coping methods since day one, and she's helped grow already in just the couple months I've been with her. She honestly wants to help you get better and not rely on her forever. Highly Recommended.

Dr Norton has helped me think outside of the box and explore areas that I had pushed back in my life (e.g religion). She has helped me understand myself better by helping me increasing my compassion for myself.

Dr. Norton is a soul-reader. I've had a couple of therapists before, but never connected to anyone as much as I did to Dr. Norton. In a very short time, she helped me see things from a different perspective. She asks the right questions and responds promptly and thoughtfully. Kind, intuitive, compassionate - I could not have asked for a better therapist.

Dr. Norton was an amazing help to me. She made me feel completely comfortable and conversation was very personal. She is caring and compassionate which made it easy to open up to her. Sometimes she was an ear who would listen and at others she was there to help suggest ways for me to overcome my obstacles. She helped me prepare for the future and regain sight of the big picture. I am forever grateful for the time I have had with her and the many ways she has helped me.
