Hi and welcome to BetterHelp! Congratulations on taking this big step toward addressing your concerns and wellness. This shows a great deal of strength and motivation. I hope that I will have the pleasure of working with you on this journey toward increased life satisfaction and overall health.
Here's some information about me and my treatment approach: I'm a licensed therapist with over 25 years' experience providing telephonic counseling and case management support. I've worked in many settings in my career, both inpatient and outpatient, in medical and mental health settings as well as in care management programs. My treatment philosophy is built upon my strong listening skills, as I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques with my clients. I've worked with clients of all ages, with a variety of emotional and/or medical concerns, as well as those seeking assistance with substance abuse issues and smoking cessation counseling. I feel that any problem can be addressed if we are provided a safe, trusting and judgment free environment in which to express ourselves.
My philosophy hinges on my belief that you are the expert on yourself. No one can tell you what to do, and in fact doing so could backfire. By offering an empathic discussion, where you are one who is fully able to come to the best solutions for yourself, you will be successful. I have many tips and techniques to offer, and together we can make this work. I look forward to the pleasure of meeting and working with you!

Elisabeth has been excellent. my first time in therapy and I couldn’t have asked for a better match. I have been working with Elisabeth weekly/bi-weekly for the past 6 months. She has helped me regulate my mood and deal with the loss of my mother, as well as given be helpful strategies for dealing with my anxiety. My mood is much better than it was 6 months ago and I feel I have the tools now to deal with life’s stresses all due to Elisabeth!

Elisabeth is a warm supportive presence every time we meet. Not only does she listen thoughtfully as I share but she provides applicable, helpful adjustments to the way I approach my problems and thoughts, and always suggests more than one solution. She sends blog-like messages every week on topics such as procrastination, self-care, sleep, and other issues you may be dealing with. She also provides you with "worksheets" that you can complete on your own time that target specific CBT skills to aide in the process of re-wiring your thought patterns. She is flexible with her schedule and really makes you feel like all the matters is what you are getting out of each session and your work together. I would recommend her to anyone struggling with generalized anxiety or any other patterns of negative thinking.
Elisabeth is absolutely wonderful. She is compassionate and wise. She quickly helped me get to the bottom of the issues that were bothering me and gave me the tools to deal with my own anxieties, which I’m sure I’ll use again and again. She was responsive and helpful when unexpected events occurred (loss of a family member, illness, etc) and I felt so much more in control of my life just knowing that she was a text message away when I needed her.
