Elizabeth Crabtree

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Montana and a Certified Social Worker (Private Independent Practice) in South Dakota with over 12 years of experience and a Board Certified Dilplomate. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep problems, relationship issues, career challenges, as well as military/deployment stressors. Eight years of my career also includes serving in the Army as a Behavioral Health Provider.
My counseling style is client-centered. I believe that the client is the specialist, and my role is to help pull together your knowledge and experiences to help make sense of it all. This includes understanding how you feel or act/react the way you do, as well as helping identify ways ahead for growth and development. My approach focuses on psychodynamic counseling augmented with motivational-interviewing as well as cognitive-behavioral techniques. Every client and session has unique desires, and I tailor my approach and treatment plan to meet your specific needs.
Our work focuses on the relationship and trust we build. It takes courage to reach out and ask for help. I am here to listen, assist, and empower you. We all have mental health, and we all need support throughout life. It’s an honor to walk with you on your path.

I didn’t expect much help from a phone app, but I ended up receiving really good counseling and help in the areas I checked for and even more than I originally thought I needed. Thankfully, I was matched with someone who has really helped me and is continuing to help me through my life struggles and even celebrating improvements. She listens to me fully and really thinks and speaks with full intentions of helping me gather my thoughts and feelings. Even when I’m quite irrational she accepts it as my own feelings and helps me process and understand myself more. She is easy to talk to and creates a focus when I don’t even know where to begin. I do not regret downloading this app and never expected to get such a good match! I am very thankful.

Elizabeth listens well and works to understand and make relevant comments. She offers observations and clarifies with me whether I think that what she is saying is applicable to me, my concerns, and the challenges I am facing. She is clearly skilled and capable.
