About Me

Facing the uncertainties of the future is scary and overwhelming. Life changes, serious illness, or loss have shifted your world away from where you once felt assured. You may be struggling to find balance and discover your identity in these new surroundings. The first steps to begin therapy are some of the hardest. Together we will build upon the momentum you have already generated by coming this far, and create a space where you can feel comfortable to express the experiences that have led you here.

My style is warm, honest, and non-judgmental. Whether you are facing a new and challenging life event, serious illness, caregiving, or the loss of relationship or loved one, I will work with you to build on your strengths that are already working for you and identify new strategies to help you cope with these challenges. I will help you tune out the external and internal expectations so you can connect to what really matters to you now. Together we will explore your hopes for growth and how we can address the worry, anxiety, isolation, guilt, grief or unhelpful patterns in life that are barriers to reaching your potential. I use an eclectic blend of approaches including Interpersonal, CBT, Mindfulness in our work to address your unique needs and learning style.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. I have worked with individuals facing serious illness, life events, and grief for 9 years both in person and online formats.

I welcome the opportunity to work together!

Skeptical would be an understatement as I began my journey with Emma and better help. Just something I was never familiar with. I can breathe now, my chest doesn’t hurt anymore. I have video chats with Emma, I have had phone conversations and we text. I have referred Emma and better help to three CLOSE friends already
