About Me

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I have been in the counseling field since 2015. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Additionally, I am Board-Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN) through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). I have seen first hand the electrical patterns generated in the brain that are associated with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have also witnessed the extraordinary changes that our brains are capable of making through holistic mental health treatment such as talk therapy. In therapy, I place an emphasis on health and wellness because I believe that the mind and body are intertwined.

I use a person-centered, empathic, and genuine approach to therapy. I draw from a variety of techniques and modalities tailored to what fits your needs best. Some of my favorite treatment approaches come from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and Existential Psychotherapy. I am looking forward to helping you to find happiness in all aspects of your life, whether it is within your self, relationships, career, or getting through a stressful life transition. I strive to help my clients to find meaning, purpose, balance, and clarity in life.

I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s in Counseling in 2015 and with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2012. While obtaining my Master's I was a Graduate Research Assistant where I assisted with research and teaching. During my undergraduate studies I participated in research studying the effects of cortisol on infant and child brain development. I relocated to Connecticut from Pennsylvania in 2015 and have been in the counseling field ever since. I worked my way from clinician to supervisor at a non-profit where I was certified in Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services through Yale University. I left my supervisor role to get into Neurofeedback and psychotherapy at a private practice, where I have worked with individuals with a variety of backgrounds, ages, and mental health disorders. I am certified in Medical Neuroscience through Duke University/Coursera and EEG Biofeedback through New Mind Academy.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and pets. I like to keep things simple and find happiness in life’s small treasures - spending time with family, trying a new recipe, a morning cup of tea, or taking a walk with my dog.
