About Me

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I think you will find that I have all of the credentials needed to help you deal with the challenges in your life but advanced degrees and specialty certifications are only some of the tools that a good counselor needs to help her client. An effective counselor brings empathy, compassion, regard for the client, and hope to the counseling relationship. I journey with my clients to encourage, empower and equip them to create the life that they long for.
When we talk you will find me to be non-judgmental, welcoming and excited about the opportunity to help you identify what has gotten your life off track and, most importantly, how to get it back on track and moving forward.
My style is interactive and solution-focused. It's important that you take charge of your therapy so I sometimes give life assignments for you to work on between visits.
These are my credentials: Licensed Professional Counselor, Master of Professional Counseling degree, specialized certificates in Grief and Loss Counseling, Crisis Counseling, Parent Education, Pre/Marital Counseling, Anger Management, and Mindfulness training. In counseling, I primarily use principles and techniques associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, and Compassion Therapy. Although I am qualified to help you with most of the issues you face, my areas of particular expertise are in depression/anxiety treatment, Parent Education, grief and loss and life transitions.

In the fairly short time I got to interact with Fran on a professional level, I think she's wonderful. I'm so sad to see her part ways with BetterHelp, as I had high hopes for continuing my care with her. Thank you, Fran, for showing me that there is someone out there who will listen and demonstrate that they care.
