My status as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) allows me to competently deliver individualized clinical and evidence-based approaches to therapy. My main priority is to ensure you get the best of your experience through your own autonomy and growth. I have worked with a diverse population of individuals with specialties in family conflict, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, and anger management. Through these experiences, my appreciation to individualization of each client is an imperative concept in my professional development. I have a strong desire to understand and help impact change, continue education to ensure cutting edge and evidence-based approaches are utilized, and to add life experience in order to increase a client's feeling of being understood and not judged, which all add to heighten the therapeutic experience.
My professional experience includes providing group and individual clinical services to children, adolescents, couples, and adults in a variety of community-based and individual settings. I have worked in agency settings (community and foster care) as well as in private practice. Some behavioral health issues I have experience treating include; however, not exhaustive: depression, stress, anxiety, addictions (sexual), LGBT related issues, grief and loss, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, impulse control, co-dependency, depression, divorce, and many other issues that cause disruption in daily routine.
My educational background includes All But Dissertation (ABD) status for the Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Counselor Educator and Supervision (CES) program with Argosy University of Arlington, VA, with a projected completion date of August 2019. I have earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Argosy University DC Campus; Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, also from Argosy University DC Campus; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA; and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Cedar Crest College. I am licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have specialized training in the following evidence-based protocols: Eco-Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT) from Philadelphia Child Guidance Center (PCGC), and Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Heidi was extremely helpful through my time of transition. She is full of insight and support. She truly has a gift!
Heidi has been amazing so far. She works around my weird schedule and provides me space and authentic concern. It been a joy to work with her.
Heidi is absolutely incredible. She is funny, kind, skilled, patient and supportive -all the things I really need from a therapist. She doesn't just listen to me idly, she is proactive and really tries to teach me new coping skills to help in my every day life. She encourages me to really fix my problems and address them in a safe, positive, and effective way (when I feel ready). In the short amount of time that I've been meeting with her, I have accomplished more than I would have in a year on my own. She really is an 11/10! And did I mention she's funny?
Awesome counselor. I will request her again.
Heidi is wonderful. She's incredibly supportive and caring, and has made me feel like I have a partner in this journey to heal myself. I'd recommend Heidi to everyone!
Heidi is so great! I was hesitant to get help, but Heidi made everything go so smoothly. I couldn’t be more happy I was placed with her!
