About me
Hi. My name is Jared Gavin. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Texas and Nebraska with over 15 years experience. I’ve worked with individuals and families. I have worked in a wide variety of fields including individuals struggling with substance use, involved in the criminal justice system, and youth. Everyone struggles and sometimes finding someone to process the positive, negative, and scary issues we encounter in life is difficult. Having someone to help guide you to process those life changes has been the focus of my career. Change comes from within but sometimes it’s difficult to see where or how that can happen and that’s what I’ve been trained on providing through various treatment techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral approaches, and others.
As a licensed social worker, starting where an individual is and moving at a pace that works for them has been where I have enjoyed watching the most growth. I am a very calm and open individual who enjoys working with all types of people. I enjoy using humor, positive motivating statements, and compassion in working with others.
