About Me

Aloha, my name is Jeannie and I am a licensed mental health therapist in Nebraska. I primarily counsel those working to overcome trauma. This can present with anxiety, depression, feeling disconnected with oneself, and a number of unexplained physical concerns. I also work with those who feel "stuck" in life and could use some help creating practical goals to move forward.

I believe healing happens in authentic relationship. This means that I strive to be fully present with my clients and work to help them feel comfortable enough to be fully present with me, as well. I recognize that the first step to a better life is often the most difficult. I help my clients with that first step and the path that follows. Together, we develop individualized strategies that allow and promote forward movement.

I completed my master's degree in counseling at Denver Seminary. I also have a bachelor's degree in religion, which makes me uniquely qualified to combine spiritual and clinical insights in a way that anyone can understand. While I specialize in trauma work, I am also trained in Strengths Coaching. This training equipped me to identify behavioral patterns that point to a client's "go to" responses. These often point us to areas of current and potential strength and internal resources. My professional experience includes counseling and management in the field of mental health, including working with mild to severe mental health issues, survivors of ongoing abuse (including human trafficking), business and individual coaching, and providing trauma education to community organizations. I welcome the opportunity to fight beside you to make a difference in yourself - and the world.

She is great! Very gifted/talented with just a few messages she has a lot of good insight. It's like she knows how to cut off the fat of my situation and get straight to the meat is the best way I can put it. The first few weeks there is a lot of backstory on my end so I would think that it would be slow going but she is very efficient and can give me actions goals or ideas from day 1! Very grateful for this program and her. I am working through the lowest point I have ever been so this has literally been a life saver for me.

Jeannie has been that solid footing I need right now. She is keeping me on track during a difficult time. She listens, hears me out and key in on what it important. Her validation and support is priceless. I may stray but reading from her helps my fears dissolve. My journey has just began but I feel safe and open with her. When she challenges me to think about my feelings or thoughts I am able to find answers inside me. It has been empowering in a time when I would have crumbled. Knowing she is there is what I need.
