First off, thank you for caring enough about yourself to be here today. You deserve to learn more about yourself and move towards something meaningful and fulfilling. That can take time, but you've already started today. Maybe we can relate over some similar hobbies/interests: rock climbing, playing the Tuba (Tubist in Orchestra at Temple Square/Mormon Tabernacle Choir/Utah Wind Symphony), Chess, Backgammon, driving scooters, domestic/international travel, reading (self-help/philosophy/travel), and cooking (Asian/Indian/Italian cuisine). I have been practicing for 5 years in Salt Lake City/Layton, Utah. Clients like my accepting and non-judgmental approach to counseling. I am not afraid of a dynamic life and try to help you feel the same way. I approach treatment by helping you be mindful and aware of your thoughts/feelings, how they may hurt or help, and I stay solution-focused in helping you move towards something important. If you don't know what is important, we will talk about your values and move in a positive direction. I believe in exposure therapy and will help you try some things that seem difficult but could help you feel more confident in yourself. I am moving towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), specifically to help in Marriage Counseling. There are a few other things I like to discuss with clients in which I have good insight: performance anxiety (hobbies, employment, relationships), video game addiction, LDS Missionaries (pre-mission, early returned, adjustment problems), feeling bored with life and having no idea how to find meaning, spirituality, dominate culture/religion and helping you find a good path, focus and motivation for desired achievements, and counseling regarding travel and pilgrimage.

Jeffery is a great listener without shaming.
I have been in therapy on and off the majority of my life. A good, understanding therapist is pretty hard to find. Jeffery has been a breath of fresh air in many ways. He offers a variety of ways to communicate and has a very flexible schedule. He has a sincere desire to help and makes it obvious he genuinely cares about our troubling situations and does everything he can put us on the path to healing. Thanks Jeff!
Jeffery has been very helpful in helping me set realistic goals. He has a non-judgmental approach and is very encouraging. Exactly what I need. Thanks!
Jeffrey's approach is helpful. He seems to help you unfold some layers in a situation, and can walk you back enough to just look at it. And, he's good about asking questions. He might give you a small tasks or exercise at the end of the session.
Jeffery has been so helpful! I've made so much progress working with him. I can't thank him enough!
Jeffery Scott is a very thoughtful, though provoking, insightful and supportive partner for anyone seeking a therapist. He is one of the best I've ever worked with and I have thoroughly appreciated his insights, understanding and guidance. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
He is wonderful and so much help!!
I've had a really great experience with Jeff. He works to understand what is going on, and then provides helpful guidance to find answers. Highly recommend!
I've really enjoyed my experience so far. He is very good at getting through all the craziness of life to the real deep set issues. He is also very personable and easy to talk to both online and during live sessions. Also, the materials and homework that he gives is very helpful.
