During the course of the 17 years that I have been in the mental health field, I have had a diverse range of experiences working at an adolescent residential facility, non-for-profit agency, and private practice. Throughout my work, I have ran therapeutic groups in a residential setting, conducted attention training, provided individual therapy to a range of ages, helped people develop coping skills to overcome anxiety and depression, improved stress and anger management skills, helped people work through codependency, developed behavioral plans, along with working on the administrative side of a non-for-profit.
Throughout the years, I have enjoyed all areas of mental health, however, my main areas of specialties are anxiety, ADHD, depression, and codependency. My treatment method encompasses cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT), behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. For my own personal growth, I continue to gain knowledge in other areas of psychology and treatment methodologies through research and training. In addition, my interests outside psychology are nutrition, fitness and camping.
